Eye bags - over 50’s

I’ve never really suffered with eye bags, they’re not dark circles, but what seems to be more like baggy, with a line under, which I think is an age
thing as I’m 54.
I use Laura geller baked make up, L’Oréal age perfect wipes and a mix of serum, creams etc to moisture my skin and edelweiss eye serum from The Body Shop.
does anyone have any other ideas to help? It’s not dreadful but I’m wanting to delay / help things get worse
thank you

I'm 42 and have eye bags and so far I've not found anything that helps. My mum has them too so I'm assuming genetics but I'm sure she was much older than me before hers appeared.

I have these and they run in my family. Things that have improved them are caffeine eye serum. I like Q and A in particular. I also like those moisturising eye patches that you stick on. I haven't found a favourite yet but pretty much any make a difference.

Are you well-hydrated OP? I remember reading once that they get worse if you’re dehydrated. No idea if it’s definitely true but just thought I’d mention it.

Thank you, I’ll give those patches a try! I’m well hydrated but will try to drink more - thanks

Skinny confidential travel ice roller. Bloody love it. Expensive but, bloody love it.

also useful for vagal nerve stimulation, the cold on your face helps. I do back of neck too.

I think hydration and sleep are the main ones. Ground flax seed daily helps skin and eye moisture, as well as omega 3 and b vitamins.

I’m not great at skin care and products (I mean, I use Lacura moisturiser!!) but caffeine eye serum (I use upcircle) and an eye roller have actually helped with mine

I think you need to be careful with eye creams as some can make them worse, particularly if they contain hyaluronic acid, that acts as a humectant drawing water in to the skin, which can make puffiness worse. Night eye creams in particular, as they’re thicker, should go no further than the occipital bone.
