This might sound a bit odd but has anyone else had skin problems just suddenly show up for no obvious reason? things like random rashes, dry patches or breakouts when your skin was fine before.
ive heard a few people mention it recently and it made me wonder if its actually quite common or if it’s just coincidence feels like one of those things where you don’t really think about it until it happens and then it’s all you notice.😓

Happened to me too. Skin can be really sensitive to changes in the environment, diet, stress, hormones, or even subtle shifts in products you’re using. Pay attention to "patterns" like what you’ve eaten, products applied, or lifestyle changes leading up to the flare-up & treat gently with products designed for sensitive skin, & rich in hydrating ingredients (hyaluronic acid or glycerin) while avoiding harsh components (such as strong alcohols, sulfates, or heavy fragrances). Also a quick check-in with a dermatologist can help rule out anything underlying!

I have periods where suddenly I’m sensitive to earrings and watch straps and get a bit itchy. I’ve never really tracked them but I’m starting to believe now it’s linked to my menstrual cycle.

I’ve just had this where I got a sort of eczema type thing on my ears, which then moved to around my nose! It’s really sore and never happened before.

I sometimes get what I think of as winter skin, after the coldest bit of winter I'll get rough patches on my cheeks.
I also get stress eczema on my eyelids occasionally. And mouse knuckle, where one of my knuckles on my right hand gets rough and sore if my hands have been cold for too long, which normally happens if I've been sat with the aircon blowing on my mouse hand at work. Always the same knuckle. Random and weird.
DH gets itchy skin when his hayfever flares.

I have eczema too, first flare ups were the worst. It's manageable now.

Yes. A small patch started in my eyebrow before Xmas, now is cheek, under eye, above eye, forehead and infront of an ear. Just starting clotrimazole.
It’s angry, sore and the skin keeps coming away.

I used to to get eczema above my eyes, figured out it was being caused by my gel manicure. So I don’t have them any more!

Yup, both eyebrows look like they have dermatitis, the worst is my nose though, wee spots right round my nostrils constantly, not had a spot since I was pregnant with dd1 (17)

I had rashes on the back of my calves this week when we were away on the east coast, I googled and apparently it's winter itch, caused by hot showers and cold weather which is a type of dermatitis. I do suffer with pompolyx eczema on my hands and feet occasionally so have fairly sensitive skin.

Yes, random and never had before, not changed products, cleanse thoroughly, it’s so sore and gets better for a day or so then comes back.

Omg, I currently have eye area eczema having never had it before. Looks a lot like previous posters photo.

I have stopped using bedtime eye drops ( needed as I sometimes get a horrific dry eyeball /eyelid ripping off thing at night) and eye makeup and applied only the most basic of moisturisers. It has got better and then got worse again over the past 2 weeks. It is currently getting better again but obviously I would like it to sod off permanently.

I also have pompholyx which flares hormonally and year round hayfever.

I had something called perioral dermatitis last year - lots of tiny, pus-filled spots appeared all round my mouth. No idea what triggered it. Luckily, a two-month course of antibiotics got rid of it.
