https://www.zara.com/uk/en/limited-edition-wide-leg-denim-jumpsuit-p02351705.html?v1=506575338&v2=2420896

It gets more bizarre the more you look at it..

😂

JulietteHasAGun · 22/03/2026 20:48

Ha ha, it’s like a pair of too big Simon Cowell style trousers pulled up to the armpits.

Ihatemondays1962 · 22/03/2026 20:49

£119 for that!

Kingdomofsleep · 22/03/2026 20:50

Bargain. Are you supposed to wear a belt in the belt loops?

Kingdomofsleep · 22/03/2026 20:51

Also the front pockets are in the armpits but the back pockets are at the bum... it's Art

LemonPoundCake · 22/03/2026 20:51

The model looks even more miserable than the usual miserable models! 😆

DarkForces · 22/03/2026 20:53

It needs some braces to make sure it stays up. No wonder the model looks grumpy.

TutTutTutSigh · 22/03/2026 20:54

"Wide leg design" in the description tickled me.

Helplessandheartbroke · 22/03/2026 20:56

😂 just that.

ArwenUndomniel · 22/03/2026 22:01

In the village I grew up in, Harry, the man who ran the overpriced newsagents shop, used to wear these massive trousers pulled up to just under his armpits, and he wore braces AND a belt with them. Shirt and vest tucked in, of course, and all topped off with a flat cap. In our house this style of trouser was called "a pair of Harrys" in his honour. It's been a long time since I've seen a pair of Harrys quite like these and now I'm feeling all nostalgic.

KolaBear · 22/03/2026 22:12

Even on the presumably tall model the crotch is really low, so on short me it would be below my knees!!
And yeah, £119 for this abomination is nuts 🫣😂

Spaghettea · 22/03/2026 22:14

I needed cheering up 😂.
It looks like she's been shrunk.

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · 22/03/2026 22:15

😂 Looks like me when I was about 4 or 5, (around 1970,) and I used to try on my dad's trousers for a laugh!

Wouldn't you be miserable if you had to wear such a shit outfit?! 😆

Thesummer · 22/03/2026 22:19

I swear I see this sort of thing suggested on s&b all the time. Usually a dress not a jumpsuit, but the sack of potatoes concept is the same 🤷‍♀️

ThatCyanCat · 22/03/2026 22:22

Fabulous. I'll join the queue.

userlotsanumbers · 22/03/2026 22:24

Ah now, this situation is worthy of the phrase that got bandied about by my older relatives in the eighties. T'was a question that got asked at fancy dress parties, but was used as a putdown when someone turned up in something like this.

A calculated look, followed by a sniff and:

'What's she come as?'

Marvellous, Zara, keep it up (what does keep it up?)

SquallyShowersLater · 22/03/2026 22:26

Good God.

mynameiscalypso · 22/03/2026 22:27

At my grandfather’s funeral, some distant relatives came over from the Isle of Wight. They all wore trousers like that and I’ve always assume that’s how people in the Isle of Wight must dress so maybe that’s Zara’s target market?

WearyAuldWumman · 22/03/2026 22:28

I accidentally bought a pair like that from the George (Asda's) sale a couple of summers ago. They were less than 9 quid, I recall.

I just wore them with long tops so that the ridiculous bit didn't show.

Allthesnowallthetime · 22/03/2026 22:31

@userlotsanumbers

A slug. That is what she's come as. A slug.

userlotsanumbers · 22/03/2026 22:39

@Allthesnowallthetime why didn't I see that?! You're so correct. 😂😂
Zara, there's a call for a matching snail costume. Whenever you're ready.

🤣 I’ve never been to the Zara website. Definitely not the target audience I’m way to short and would drown in their stuff rather then float along elegantly (or slither in slug mode)

what’s with the weird advert when you are on the women section? As much an advert for cats or lace as clothing.

catscatscurrantscurrants · 22/03/2026 23:50

It reminds me of the scene in the film 'Kes' where Billy pulls his oversized PE shorts up to his armpits.

marmaladejam1 · 23/03/2026 01:07

Are her boobs squashed under that top bit? Poor woman.
