Experiences with acne scar removal treatments?

I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for treatments to remove old acne scars. I’ve heard that chemical peels or lasers can help, but was after any experiences!

I’ve tried the cream approach (Azalaic acid etc) and they are not helping after long use. The scars are mostly on my cheeks, with one or two on jawline - it’s the cheek ones I’m most worried about though. The scars are flat.

In case it’s relevant, I do have quite sensitive, acne prone skin, which is also fairly greasy. I’m currently looking into treatments for this, but it was the old scars I need help with!

Thank you so much!

For flat acne scars on sensitive skin that haven't responded to topical actives like azelaic acid, microneedling tends to be worth looking into before jumping to laser because it works by stimulating collagen remodeling in the dermis where the scar tissue sits, it's generally better tolerated on sensitive skin than ablative laser treatments, and a series of sessions tends to give more gradual and controllable results which matters when your skin is already reactive and acne prone.
