I’ve wanted this for a year or so now but don’t know where to go, I’m up North. I know people go to Faceland, but I’m not going that far!
Anykne had it done, are you happy with it? Stitches or strips?

They can do but not always. I know a few people who've had them done for medical reasons and the changes are so subtle you wouldn't know unless they told you. Which, I think, is the optimum solution.

I think they look noticeable when people are trying to change their natural eye shape and ask for too much skin to be removed. Then they get the round, staring eyes look.

I have to disagree . I had it done 3 years ago and in no way has it radically changed my face. My eyelids are just less heavy than they were. If you have it done along with other surgery then it’s that that does it. Not just an upper bleph. 🙂‍↔️

I had mine about 8 years ago now. Cost £2k in London. Very good result . Was more painful than I expected for a few days but I’m very pleased I had it done

Such a shame yours was painful. I must have been lucky as mine wasnt at all.

I actually agree with that comment. It radically changes people’s faces

I've got the opposite view. Looking at the before and after pics on the FB group, it's hard to tell some have even had it done. That's what puts me off. 3k a lot of money for hardly any change. But the people who have had it done all seem pleased as punch so definitely worth it for them. Yet to see anyone looking weird on there but I think I've seen that hollow look some male celebs go for, if that's what you mean.

I think that's the difference. Think the hollowed eye look I'm thinking of is part and parcel of other 'work' they've had done.

It really depends. Your examples are all male - and they have a heavier faces, eyebrows, etc. So upper bleph affects them differently. It did alter their appearance in a strange way.

It also depends on how the rest of your face is - e.g. - if you have been using botox and your forehead has not dropped much.

For e.g. - I had mine around 50. I am not at all at a place of needing a face lift. My wrinkles are kept in check with botox, some fillers, PRP and Sculptra. Face lift at this time would be completely unnecessary and very invasive. And I have fairly light features and thin skin on my eyelids.

So - my eyelids dropped a bit. Such that I could not do a line on my top lid and have it visible. It looked like I had asian eyelids in a way, and they came along when I turned 50.

I did not like it. I wanted to have a little taken off, to get my eyes look like they used to a few years ago, not get some whole new shape to my eyelids.
My doctor did a very good job - he took a little strip of skin off and a few weeks after my operation (and still now) - I just looked refreshed and brighter.
Not like a completely different person with a new face - like after a facelift.

So - all to their own. I might never go for a total face lift. It's a completely different effort, risk and cost.

Who was your surgeon? I'd love to get it done.

I had this done a year ago at Newmedica in Newcastle (based at Balliol Business Park) by Lucy Clark. She's an excellent surgeon, she also does reconstructive surgery on patients with facial cancer. I felt very looked after from beginning to end.

Unfortunately mine only lasted ~4 months on one eye, I was warned it might happen because of where the drooping was (inner corner) and how hard it is to resolve it with just a bleph. Looked good until then though, and still so much better than it oooked beforehand. I can at least see my eyelashes now.

Slightly off topic but did you find Botox made your eyes more heavy & hooded? I really would like it in my forehead lines but I’m worried about the heavy brow look!
