Pull on bra for shoulder fracture - 36 GG/H size

Thanks to a shoulder fracture I have now issues getting a bra on and off.

DH is helping and with lots of wiggling around it does work but I wonder if there are any bra around I can put on from below.

To add to the problem, my bra size is 36 GG/H.

I think I saw Molke being mentioned in an article somewhere, does anybody has some experience with them or can recomment other brands?

Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Molke bras are great but I wouldn’t recommend them with a shoulder injury- they are really hard to get on and off. I have a shoulder injury and find them harder than a regular bra to be honest. I can only wear mine when my shoulder is reasonably ok and have to leave it off if I have a flare up - sorry

Can you fasten a regular bra around your waist at the front and wiggle it from there?

Having had a shoulder injury, I found this easier than pull on bras.

MissMoneyFairy · 11/03/2026 17:35

Have z look at front fastening or nursing bras

Ohthatsabitshit · 11/03/2026 18:05

What about a strapless bra, put on round your waist and swivelled, then pulled up? Easier to do over a tshirt.

i would just get some really stretchy crop tops in a larger size than you normally wear - try Asda, M and S etc. I have mobility issues and find I can pull them over or up if the size is large enough, sure they don’t offer a lot of support but they’re better than nothing.

Thank you all.

Strapless won't work, I tried it once for a specific dress and with my cup size it has to be so tight that it actually felt utterly uncomfortable.

Currently, I have wired bras and we tried to see if he can close at the front and then move them around and it was really not working either so I think I will buy some non-wired ones and also maybe some crop top style.

I am on my own for one week in May and hopefully we'll be able by then to close a bra at the front and turn it around on my own but then I should be mainly mostly out of the sling.

Not having a bra, it's not possible, I get really bad back pain if I'm not wearing one.

Joining others to say that my crop top bras (I have big boobs!) are fantastically comfortable but more difficult to get off than regular bras. Also I found that there's no point buying a bigger size than you actually need - you get next to no support as a result.

Would a maternity bra work? Unclip the side the injury is on and reclip once on?

Girlking · 12/03/2026 06:58

Sloggi do bras without any fasteners that are really comfortable to wear. __

I recently had shoulder surgery and bought these - I step into them and pull up. They are not as supportive as a regular bra but are good enough for now!

Front fastening, sports bra style tops or I had a pull on one from TU which had removable moulded cups

Similar to this https://www.argos.co.uk/product/tuc140799133?clickSR=slp:term:invisibles:2:9:1 there are also front zip up fastening bras.

These M&S crop tops are fab. I’m a size 14-16 and 36HH and found that the size 16 GG-H is perfect. They’re not too difficult to get on and very comfy and supportive.

I also have Molke, which are great, but not a chance you’ll manage to get one on at the minute as it’s a bit of a contort and fight job at the best of times!

I've had a very painful shoulder on and off for years and when it's bad, I wear these fuller cup stretchy bras which I can step into and pull up. I have to stretch the strap to squeeze my arm through (elbow first, in my case) but the fabric is strong and springy and can cope with being manhandled.

It doesn't give such a nice shape as my usual underwired bras, but it gives good support and the wide straps look really nice when a T shirt blouse slips off the shoulder.

Fuller Cup bra

Bestselling Fuller Cup bra: Comfort and everyday support for larger cup sizes. Fits up to a 56" back, K cup. The high back reduces pressure on the neck and shoulders and prevents strap slippage. No fiddly fastenings - simply pull it over your head.

I have to agree with crop tops too, much easier than a bra, my bras have all gone in the bin now!
