I'm up in the air. They're surprisingly comfortable, not sure about the heel.

What say the S&B mavens?

They’re horrible. Return.

skippy67 · 06/03/2026 13:09

Return. Please.

Perfidia · 06/03/2026 13:56

Without the toe loop I’d wear them happily (sitting down) with socks …

outerspacepotato · 06/03/2026 15:14

I like a toe loop sandal, but in a flat, not heels. Those are too big at the front and make your feet look huge. They also look suedy and not in a good way.

I like the strap mules too, but they look less supportive. The pair I have is 36, so already the smallest size.

I’d be interested to know how they are to walk in - because I don’t believe half the shops in Britain will this summer be selling a sandal that doesn’t function as footwear.

This is the question - out ahead and fashion forward, or never to be spoken of again experiment? My sister, who is usually spot on, is insisting it's the former.

'Out ahead and fashion forward' - definitely not, unless you're into 'high street' style.

Sorry, I might be too dense to understand that - can you explain?

I'm talking about catwalk-led fashion versus high street fashion. Based on the former, that style of sandal (with that combination of upper and heel) is not going to be a trend for SS2026.

Well, they are suede, so that seems fair 😅

I agree, there is more room in front than I think there should be, but I think my feet looking huge is a function of the photo, they definitely don't in real life

Oh, interesting. Well, my catwalk days never started, but Net-a-Porter is showing a constant stream of weird heels at the moment. Although I agree this one is an unusual combination.

They're now sold out except for two sizes, so who knows?

They're Phoebe Philo and the thick end of £800 so even if you don't like them they aren't exactly "high street".

parkezvous · 06/03/2026 15:59

I quite like them. But not for £790

MabelAnderson · 06/03/2026 16:23

user4903456342 · 06/03/2026 11:32

But I take the general consensus!

Thank you

They are a size too large for you OP. The toe gap isn’t because they haven’t stretched, it’s because the footbed is too long. They would look far nicer if they fitted better.

Good spot. They are.

They're incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in, surprisingly. It's one of the reasons I was on the fence.

I bought these at the same time and they've already gone back as they're much harder to walk in.

I love the crocodile slingbacks. Where are they from?

They're these @Overtheatlantic.

I felt like they run a bit wide and weren't going to stay on very well - the slingback doesn't have a buckle, so can't be tightened.

The price isn't really relevant in the context of whether it's a current catwalk-led trend which is what my original comment related to.

The important thing is whether you love them. I think the fact you're asking for opinions on here probably means you should send them back. I'm currently toying with a pair of boots that fall into the same category. It's tough.😂

keepwakingup · 06/03/2026 17:11

They look really hard to keep on/walk in

keepwakingup · 06/03/2026 17:14

I like the upper part and the front sole reminds me of my A.Emery sandals but I don’t like the heel.

likelysuspect · 06/03/2026 17:15

Blimey get rid.

Womaninhouse17 · 06/03/2026 17:16

Nice shoes, horrible heels.

PolkaDotPorridge · 06/03/2026 17:34

Return immediately!

Ducksbehindthesofa · 06/03/2026 17:36

They look like how I would imagine my Birkenstock Mayari's to be if they were trying to disguise their identity to get into the nightclub without me knowing.

namechangeabc123 · 06/03/2026 17:46

They're quite Y2K. I had some like that in about 2003.

I like the top part of them, although I think they'd look better with a block heel. I'm not keen on that cone/cuban heel shape, although I did notice Lila Moss was wearing some cone heeled boots recently so perhaps fashion is leaning towards that at the moment.

I agree with PPs that you have too much toe space.

I think return.
