I use hair facial and threading when I remember

Moveoverdarlin · 05/03/2026 10:44

I use a razor, think it works really well.

Coffeeishot · 05/03/2026 10:46

It depends if it bothers you or not if it bothers you get some facial "lady" razors and just shave it off.

Ireallycantthinkofagoodone · 05/03/2026 10:53

I would recommend one of the spiral thingies. It stings a bit, but you soon get used to it. It’s quick and easy, and you don’t even need to see what you are doing, so you can whip it out while you’re watching TV!
I have noticed that women who use hair removal creams, often get slightly darker skin on their top lips, and shaving has to be done frequently.

The beautician says they wax for it. Haven’t done it yet, terrified to shave in case

SofiaLePrince · 05/03/2026 10:56

If it is very mild, I would just leave it. Maybe a little dermaplane razor for special occasions when you need to wear a lot of make up and there will be photos

If they are fine vellous hair then you can shave it and it will look absolutely fine- it’s the type of hair that’s fine and usually fair. If it’s thicker, darker terminal hair- the kind that’s dictated by hormones then it may appear thicker with shaving and waxing or threading with be better as the hair will grow back with a tapered end.

Flawless Finish or similar is brilliant.

Parissa hot wax kit. Yes it hurts a bit but really quick and effective.

Very mild peach fuzz? Nothing dark or wiry? I’d leave it well alone.

Definitely the Amazon springy thing linked above. I shave the rest of my face but use the springy thing on the fine hairs above my upper lip. When I shaved my upper lip the new hair grew back blunt and my son complained it was sore when I kissed him goodnight! Grows back soft with the springy thing.

wizzler · 05/03/2026 11:19

Springy thing works for me

I don’t know, maybe burns, cuts or welts- I’ve never touched it before so don’t know how sensitive it is (I have horribly sensitive skin in general). I was told by a number of beauticians that leg waxing seems to have a worse effect on my skin than they’ve seen before so finally gave up!!

Whatisthisweirdness · 05/03/2026 20:33

Thanks for tips but I'm so scared stubble will grow back
or itwill get worse

I use one of the dermaplane facial razors. Have done for years. It doesn’t grow back any differently.

IndigoBabble · 05/03/2026 20:36

And it’s very satisfying 😂

DrLevy · 05/03/2026 20:40

I use one of these every morning

@Whatisthisweirdness it won’t grow back worse-it just comes back the same as before. Think about it-if shaving hairs made them darker and thicker all men would shave their head to cure baldness!
