Any opinions on Stripe and Stare, or other really comfy pants?

My usual favourites (Marks and Spencer flexifit) are currently only available int depressing colours and I really need to restock.

I am size 12 with a big old perimenopausal tummy and have suffered the ravages of four C-sections. Therefore something comfortable that does not bury itself in my scar is really important. But something a bit pretty would also be nice.

Any thoughts, critiques or suggestions about comfortable pants options would be much appreciated

I found the fabric of Stripe and Stare a bit nylon-y and also they didn’t stay up very well which is the bare minimum I’m looking for from a pant tbh.

I love them. They're very soft and I can't even feel them once I'm wearing them. They stay in place perfectly on me (original knickers, haven't tried the other styles). Most importantly, the gusset stays put and doesn't wedge itself between my bum cheeks as the day goes by. I also find that the lace edging means I get a nice smooth edge with no lumps or bumps.

I love their demi bras and it's nice to get matching knickers and bras without nylon knickers, so I buy them for that reason.

The knickers are comfy enough, but very expensive for what they are. Agree with PP they don't stay up that well.

I wear British Boxers knickers and love them. They stay up well and come in a range of designs as well as plain.

I think Stripe and Stare are way overrated given how much they cost. They are very soft, but they didn’t wash well and became faded and bobbled quickly. Like a previous poster, I too found that they didn’t really stay up very well (despite trying various sizes) and there was an obvious VPL still- despite a lack of VPL being one of their unique selling points!

I thought my knickers from Stripe and Stare were rubbish, sorry. Fabric very flimsy and the elastic doesn't last.

I love muji knickers

I love my Thunderpants. Not glam, v expensive. But incredibly comfy, stay put, have an appropriate gusset.

Strip and stare are nice, but thin - particularly for the money. I wouldn’t buy again.

Another vote for Thunderpants. Not cheap, as SpiralSister says, but seriously comfy. Thick, stretchy cotton jersey and available in hipster, full brief or high waist styles.

I have the same issues. Everything rolls into my scar, not helped by putting on weight over the last six months. I find something just below waist height, with a non stretch front section, smooth the c section shelf and don’t roll down, but I can’t find any like this. I was wearing the Panache Ana briefs but they are discontinued in the right style, and I always needed to size up or they did roll into the scar.
Flattering pants that don’t dig in at the waist, or roll into the scar are my endless quest.

I reckon the ‘high rise’ thunderpants would work for you, @MabelAnderson
