What do you order right now?

Decided to burn £500 of my bonus on something beautiful purely for me. What would you go for?

£500 wont stretch to fine jewellery im afraid. Jewellery - yes!

Me - Hermes bracelet or scarf.

FredaMountfitchet · 27/02/2026 22:45

A beautiful Liberty scarf, a decent bottle of bath oil or.bubble bath, and a pile of books

louderthan · 27/02/2026 23:46

New glasses, semi permanent brows, lash extensions.

Regular spray tans throughout the whole of the summer.

I hate self tanning, it always streaks but also hate my corned beef legs so regular spray tans done by a professional throughout the summer will encourage me to get my legs out more.

Kitchen aid stand mixer in baby pink. Anything left would be flowers!

A vintage Burberry trench coat - it’s nearly spring and my trench feels more crumpled than chic.

Some classic black loafers so I can stop living in trainers.

That should leave me just enough for the Diptyque fragrance sampler I’ve got my eye on…

Oooh could I get a vintage Burberry for less than £500?!

Leaning towards one to two nicer things rather than an experience because I don't really have time to get away at the moment.

I've just given up my job, so would stick it into a Botox fund to see me through the next year! 😅

Style and beauty wise, I'd buy a couple of items from Sezanne - I dont know what, but I pretty much love everything they sell.

I got a mint condition Burberry 1970s trench for £75 on eBay when the brand was Burberrys.
The seller had been left it in a will by her friend and she didn’t want it.
It didn’t suit me and I gave it to my sister. The quality is incredible.
I had intended on having one altered to 3/4 length but it would have been sacrilege to do it.
I searched a lot until the right one popped up.

I spend a small proportion of mine each year on jewellery from George Jensen, Ruth Tomlinson or something antique from our local store.

Vivienne1000 · 28/02/2026 07:45

A liberty quilt …

Depending on condition, £200-£300 is about average on Vinted and eBay and as @FormerlySpeckledyHen did I’d look for ones with the old Burberrys logo as they’ll have been made in Britain. My mum’s still wearing hers and it was made in the 80s!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 28/02/2026 07:53

As many nights in the local Premier Inn as £500 will buy, to get away from DH’s snoring and get a good, night’s sleep.

or jewellery.

Iocanepowder · 28/02/2026 07:55

Slightly less but with money i’ve recently receivef, i’m getting my teeth whitened.

Morepositivemum · 28/02/2026 07:57

Day in a spa (ours does special deals and then you have free access to pool sauna etc), and hairdressers then go to a bookshop!! (Drools!)

Morepositivemum · 28/02/2026 07:58

Alternatively go to m and s and next and invest in well fitting clothes!

TsunamiTsunami · 28/02/2026 08:00

I would buy clothes. Take myself off somewhere for the day and actually go in and try things on, which is something I hardly ever do these days! Maybe buy myself lunch out too

SconesAreABreakfastFood · 02/03/2026 13:17

I’d get a beautiful Louise Carmen notebook in azure blue which develops into a dark navy with age. I’m lost in a rabbit hole on Journaltok and I have an Amazon dupe, but it hasn’t quite scratched the itch. I just can’t justify spending that amount on myself as I’ve recently taken a step down in work but I can’t stop myself drooling over other people’s set ups.
