Alternative to jeans for workwear than don’t show cellulite!

I live in jeans, mostly wide leg/barrel and usually wear them to work with a cardigan or blouse. I would like an alternative to jeans, but I find that a lot of ‘work’ trousers show the cellulite on my bum, which is not a good look. Jeans are very good at hiding it!

Does anyone have any tried and tested non cellulite showing trousers?

I am size 12-14 and pear shaped. Workwear is smart casual, so they don’t need to be overly dressy.

Thanks!

How about a midi skirt with boots?

Surely you just need to look for thicker material on the trousers? I don’t think I’ve ever had trousers that revealed cellulite. You could try cords, or thicker chinos. Uniqlo does a chino type barrel leg trouser I think.

I do have a denim midi skirt so a few more may be a good idea 😊

Thank you, I will look at those although I tend to find chinos too big on the waist. It’s hard to get a fit big enough for my hips that is small enough on the waist 😬

Are you sure this isn’t an issue with insufficiently substantial underpinnings? Obviously you don’t want anything too restrictive for long hours at work, but I’d be surprised if even light support underwear wouldn’t make a difference to how you look from the outside.

I have tried various types of light control shorts, but they either roll up or dig in, both of which are visible under the trousers.

It sounds like your shape means your trousers are too tight on the bum in order to fit your relatively small waist?

Would a seamstress be able to help? It might be a worthwhile investment to get trousers that fit you perfectly.

I do agree with PP that the material could also be a factor, and good underwear might help.

Wide leg trousers could be a good option and fashionable.

Dungarees? I have a few pairs. Black Lucy and yak cord ones. Can dress them up a little with a shirt or blouse underneath and a cardi on top, or a tightish polo neck underneath.

they’re not for everyone but I love them!

I think PP means these https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E475344-000/00?colorDisplayCode=08&sizeDisplayCode=003&pldDisplayCode=020 I have them in the grey-blue colour, they are definitely a thicker material. I think they would suit/fit your figure as I also have a narrower waist/bigger butt (and my friend specifically complimented my butt in them!). I am size 12 and got a medium but slightly wish I’d sized up to a large as they are a bit tight. I am 5ft7 and they are the perfect length in regular, ie hang straight and don’t crumple, but they make a shorter length and also will adjust them for you.
