Another wedding guest dress question

Is this too casual and/or voluminous for an outdoor summer wedding in the south of France? I really want to find something that isn't too tight all over as it'll be very warm, and the silk/cotton combo seems about right.

I think it may be hot, I’ve tried a few like that and I’ve found the ones in that price range can be a bit heavier and therefore warm than in cheaper shops.

Having been in almost 40 C heat at a South of France wedding, the deodorant may be wishful thinking! Lighter colours/ print won't show the (ahem) dampish patched so much!

@whoopsnomoreHa! It was a joke. Hot weddings are horrible in my view. I don’t get the attraction - why not marry when it’s cooler?

I think it’s a really pretty dress and silk cotton is gorgeous but better for English weather than S of France summer. You really want to be as cool as possible there. Aspiga is a good shout, I have a couple of unlined cotton voile dresses from there and they are a godsend in hot weather.

Unless the wedding is in the evening - Mediterranean weddings often are? But then you might want something more eveningy.

You’re shopping just a bit too early for the most summery dresses to have hit the shops- give it a month and try again!

I like the fabric. I do not like the sleeves and I think the puffiness of the dress along with the sleeves would make me feel massive when I'm not.

This is lovely and would be cool but perhaps too casual for a wedding.
