Let’s talk PRIMERS

Right - I’ve no idea where to start really, and shamefully I don’t really use them. I tend to cleanse, serum and moisturise my face and then add my foundation… but I know that’s not the way to prep your skin is it?!

Can someone recommend a good primer for oily/combination skin that’s prone to break outs?

Im hearing good things about the bobbi brown one

Ooh i came across primers about six months ago, absolutely love the product. After a couple of fails with dreadful brands, I use YSL touche eclat primer, and I get it from John Lewis. Just to say, i'm in my 50s with pretty good skin actually, but this is the next level up, in smoothing and improving the look of my makeup, which I wear religiously every day.

I have oily skin, I use the YSL one too

I’ve used the YSL one and it is good! I just wanted to know if there were any others out there, and specifically for oily / combo skin x

I use the water glow Estée Lauder one, also the No7 one. I have combination skin though. I don't like silicone based primers they make me feel claustrophobic and like my skin can't breathe.

I like boots no7 it’s quite thick so gives a decent base for foundation to sit on.

Thank you both

I like the Clinique Light Reflecting Primer.

Might try the YSL though.
