My lovely husband, despite me saying please do not buy me clothes bought me these Skechers Goga Mat sandals for Christmas. He thought they’d be fine for our holidays. They are nothing like I usually wear though - I tend to buy a tan leather strappy sandal that will go with most outfits.
I never buy mules as a rule as they tend to slip about and I really don’t want a broken ankle.
Im not keen how they look but to be honest for the beach on holiday and schlepping around broken Greek roads im not very precious and they are reasonably inoffensive.
They are very light, very comfortable to wear but they do scream granny to me. I’m completely torn as to whether to pop them on Vinted or just keep them and try them on holiday. Apologies for the awful nail varnish and hairy legs - it’s still winter!

What was he thinking??? I’m in my mid 60s and spend most of my day in trainers of various styles half the year, and Birkenstocks / Doc Marten sandals the other half but I think they’re neither trendy, fugly, designer nor ironic. They’re just bloody awful.
Did you buy him tartan Velcro slippers for Christmas and he’s just getting his own back?

I personally would keep, the sandals you use in summer for popping in and out of the house (washing on the line, bins out, bit of pottering around) might put the hubby on vinted though

I don’t like them but I like that he tried! I’d wear them pool side then use them for pottering at home.

Would’ve been better to exchange at the time than sell on Vinted now.

Bless him, I think he panic buys stuff at Christmas, despite me telling him not to. At some point I will have probably said ‘I’ll need some comfy new sandals’ and he’s searched ‘comfy women’s sandals’ and oooh look, they have these on Amazon. He spoils me rotten at Christmas, mostly hits but the odd complete miss.

They look like they’re made of old plasters.

I think if they were comfortable for walking you could keep them for holidays when it's hot etc but if they aren't practical and they are ugly as sin then they should be cast aside ASAP.

Those kind of granny shoes are just the thing for summer this year apparently. Though the only question really is do you like them and are they comfortable.

On edit - I can see you sold them. I was never keen on mules as I don't like they way they make me walk, feet grasping to keep them on.
