thinking about this as i don't have lip coloured pigment of the borders of my lips (bottom lip outer edges in particular). people who have had it done are you happy you did or regret?

Reading with interest. I fancy the lip treatment which is a plumping but not a filler.

anothersillyproblem · 20/02/2026 19:46

Hopefully someone will come along and let us know their experiences soon! I think my non pigmented lips age me quite a bit

Hi! I'd suggest is looking at healed results from any artist you're considering, not just fresh work, because how it looks immediately after versus six months or a year later can be very different. Ask specifically about the pigment lines they use and how they handle color correction if fading becomes uneven.

HappyGirlNow · 20/02/2026 20:44

I’d really recommend Wonderskin Lip Stain which is a less permanent fix. I have super pale lips. I’ve always used Benetint to stop me looking like a corpse, but the Wonderskin stuff is much better, it’s amazing! Great natural colour and lasts so well! I use shade ‘whimsical’.

Meadowflower2023 · 20/02/2026 20:56

I’m also watching with interest. I’ve looked into this a few times over the last few years but the salons that do it are quite a distance from me and only have fresh done lips in their galleries. I agree with @1emma19you really need to see the proper healed results as I’ve read they can go quite patchy and uneven if not done completely correct.

I also have the wonder skin (in whimsical and a few other shades, couldn’t resist another damn trend!) it doesn’t last longer than a few hours on my lips unfortunately.

I had mine done a couple of years ago and I’m very happy. It took five sessions to complete as the colour just seemed to keep disappearing. I’m wearing a bit of clear lip gloss in this picture.

I had mine done 3 years ago and absolutely love it. I had a retouch last September and it looks great.

sundayvibeswig22 · 20/02/2026 21:57

I had mine down 4 years ago and continue to have great results. It is sore though.

anothersillyproblem · 20/02/2026 22:49

Thanks everyone, think I'm going to go for it, excited
Slightly nervous about about the pain but I've not got a particularly low pain threshold so sure I will be just fine

Thats interesting because I don't find it sore at all. I had to force myself not to fall asleep!

Come back and update us OP with how you get on!

sundayvibeswig22 · 22/02/2026 16:43

@notacooldad did you have your lips numbed first?

notacooldad · 22/02/2026 16:59

did you have your lips numbed first?
Yes, the therapist used a numbing cream.
I could feel the procedure being done slightly but she was very rhythmic it was quite relaxing. There was a couple of places on the lips that were a little sensitive but not much.

If I was in your position, I would just check she uses a numbing cream. I am pretty certain she will but the lips can be sensitive. On the off chance that she doesnt it's worth buying your own,. The one I keep in my first aid kit and in my rick sack cost less than £4

DesperatelySeekingHelp · 22/02/2026 17:09

it hurts like f&&k and didn’t work on me 😔.
Although I think this might be just me. There was another lady having it at the same time as me and the numbing cream worked on her. She said she couldn’t feel a thing. I felt every stroke. Was so painful.
saying that I did go back to get the top up but it just didn’t work. I have also had brow tattoos that don’t work so probably just me.

dollyblue01 · 22/02/2026 17:10

I’ve tried lumi lip booster injections and that has given me a really nice natural plump and pinkness to my lips, I’ve only had one session, but am going to have another in a couple of weeks, I’m quite impressed with the results.

That sounds really rough for you!!
Im normally a bit of a wimp and braced myself to endure it and was pleasantly surprised that it was fine.

One thing ive noticed about my body and my pain threshold was depending where I was with my monthly cycle detemi ed how much things hurt!!
So.e days I could have my eye brows threaded in minutes and not notice , other times I was nearing after every thread!! It was the therapist that pointed out the connection and said she sees it all the time when she is threading or waxing.

I am really pleased to read this, as my TikTok and Facebook are full of adverts for it. All saying it stays on forever (well, not literally, obviously). I have been on the verge of buying it so many times, but chickened out!

How do you get it off, if you want to, if it's got such staying power?

I don't suppose you use their eyeliner as well do you? I like the idea of that too, but as someone that doesn't have a very steady hand, I'd worry about not being able to rectify my mistakes!

anothersillyproblem · 22/02/2026 17:33

thanks everyone, I will also try @HurdyGurdy19 's makeup suggestion before going ahead.

Hi, I guess you would just really scrub it but to be honest it just looks like your natural lips (if they had some more pigment) so I don’t really feel the need to try to remove it, it doesn’t look like make up. It just fades gradually. I’m super impressed with it.

I don’t use their eyeliner, sorry.
