A body warmer that doesn't look scruffy.

Help me find a body warmer that doesn't look fit for mucking out horses? I only wear the one I have for extra warmth on really cold days, but would like one I'm not ashamed of.

I have a merino one from Heber Peak. Never heard of them before, was a random online purchase but I'm really pleased with it. I can wear it in the office / under a winter coat and it rolls up small to go in my bag and doesn't crease!

Why not just wear nice merino thermals to keep warm on colder days? No scruffy gilet needed.

I suggest the Uniqlo one in white, pale pink or cream. No sane person would muck out animals in those colours!

‘finance bro’ 🤣🤣 thanks @FluentTealGuide I’m not sure I can look at my gilet the same way ever again….! In fact I’m not sure I can wear it anymore!!

It seems the first step is to call it a gilet, which instantly moves on from the mucking out horses theme 😁I used to feel like you did, OP, about body warmers and then was introduced to a gilet and never looked back!

Not sure I can bring myself to say gilet? Sounds too fancy!
I just wear the one I have to make my coat warmer. I have thermals too, but they are obviously a lot harder to pop on and off when I come inside.
I have ordered the one from Uniqlo with the adaptable neckline- I like the idea of it not showing under things too much and packing it in a little bag too! I do like to be prepared Smile.
Hopefully it arrives in the next day or two.
Thanks for all your advice and multiple links!

They were jerkins when I was a kid.
Bodywarmers were a bit like sleeveless puffer jackets.
Gilet would be a more slim-fitting one IMO.

If it’s for going under things then the Uniqlo one is perfect.

The Zara one I have is really puffy and wouldn’t go under anything- it’s more as a spring alternative to a jacket

I have this and love it. Fransa | FrMikala Waistcoat
