Covering greys in between hair appointments

I am desperately in need of grey coverage and can't get to the hairdresser's for a few weeks due to life but have a few events before my next appointment which I really don't want to look grey at. I have blond highlights but most of my hair is now grey with a bit of my original light brown underneath mainly at the back. I have developed a sensitivity to hair dye ( thanks menopause) so both permanent and semi permanent hair dyes are out. I have those root powders but tbh this is a bit past what they can do! Is there anything out there I can use to get me over the next few weeks? I can see John Frieda do a defy grey which looks good but it's only for brown hair. There doesn't seem to be a blonde equivalent. Just for men? I am at a loss. Any suggestions gratefully received. I draw the line at growing old gracefully though...not me!

The Superdrug spray is much better than the LOreal version. Covers really easily but I am just dark brown so might be easier than your colour. Worth a try though as it’s pretty cheap!

L’Oréal do a root touch up wand thing - only lasts a couple of weeks but I find it helpful between appts. not sure if they do a blonde one but worth investigating

I use the L’Oréal spray I have a couple of different shades it does the trick …

I use a toner by Schwarzkopf - it's called Chromaid. It gives me an extra few weeks before I have to go to the hairdressers. (Use it every 5 days once the roots are obvious.)

Thank you. If anyone knows of a shampoo that covers greys in blonde hair let me know. I have used toners before and they don't cover the greys. The wands would work so may give a whirl. I have used the spray before but it's messy and doesn't last past the next wash.

My hair is a light brown and I am struggling. Defy grey shampoo made greys bit too red. Loved defy grey blow dry foam but seems out of stock. Alternatives anyone!
Used a Charles Worthington colour shampoo. Now also discontinued (greys went a bit pink with that!) Now using John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo but not hitting the mark really. Hair less brassy but greys not covered as well as from discontinued shampoos. Not tried Plantar ones yet...
Any ideas? Colour depositing Shampoo and/ or blow dry foam colour.
Thanks!

I used the Superdrug root spray but it rubs off everywhere! Have you used it recently and improved the formula? The reviews on the website are > 6 months.

I use the clairol root touch up hair dye. Gives me several extra weeks. Always blends well.

Sorry roses2 I only just saw your post.
Yes I use it regularly for about a week each month when trying to last until I do my roots. I haven’t noticed it rubbing off but I only use it along my parting on the top of my head so nothing really touches it!
