Trainers for husband

DH has unexpectedly become a wheelchair user, having had an emergency lower limb amputation.
The rehabilitation physio has recommended that he get a pair of trainers to make it easier to use his prosthetic leg.
DH has never owned trainers (boots all the way!) - does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can buy for him? Clearly they don't need to be sports trainers - DH can't walk at all, let alone do active things.

All ideas most welcome!

The no hands sketchers might be a good shout.

I think they're called hands free slip ins.

I’d look at Camper if he’s not a natural trainers person, they have lots of styles that are easy to get on and off too but are really well made, good quality.

All birds are super comfy - this is what my DP says

Came on to recommend skechers as well. They are soft and comfy so he might find he just wears them most of the time.

So sorry to hear about his injury and wishing you all well. My DP swears Skechers. If you happen to have a Bluelight card, they do a good discount. It might also be worth looking in local charity shops; I often see good quality men’s trainers.
