Hi All, can anyone recommend a really decent eye cream/serum for under £25? Something to help with fine lines, dark circles and puffiness that wont irritate my skin?

TIA!

I can’t remember who it was but someone in the beauty world said once that specific eye products are a scam. Just use whatever you’re using on your face on your under eyes.

That being said I’d go for the Beauty Of Joseon eye cream at night, it has retinal and will help fight fine lines. In the morning The Inkey List caffeine one. Can’t remember off the top of my head exactly but the two together should be about £25.

The Upcircle one is really good.

Been using the upcircle one for ages and noticed no difference. Heard good things about beauty of joeson

Loreal Revitalift eye cream is good for me. I notice a difference with it.

The inkey list have some good ones. I use the caffeine one. And also some eye masks, my faves are currently the Rehab ones but I'm keen to try the nip and fab ones (often on £10 Tuesday in boots)

I know it’s a bit boring, but the only thing that makes a difference with me is to eat a natural, clean diet and to drink at least 2 litres of water a day. I also use a gua sha that’s been kept in the fridge with serum. I use this every morning and night and it helps with the puffiness. I use creams and they make my skin better but don’t really change under my eyes. Putting cold cucumber on them is good for puffiness too

I have tried all sorts of eye creams and serums over the past 30 years. I have come to the conclusion that eye creams actually make me look worse. Anything for anti aging seems to work by puffing up the skin under the eye which helps with fine lines but then makes me look like I’m having a slight allergic reaction to something.

I now skip the eye creams. Just use my usual face serum and apply a teeny bit around the eye. Then moisturiser but not near the eye.

I use eye patches 2-3 times a week. Doesn’t need to be anything expensive. I keep them in the fridge as I think the cooler the better. Cold slices of cucumber probably work just as well.

Eating well, drinking lots of water and sleeping well are absolutely key.

To fight wrinkles you really need retinol/a retinol, I use the inkey list retinol eye cream (not expensive), you have to use retinol in the evenings and ensure you use sun protection in the day as it makes skin more susceptible to the sun. For puffiness try under eye rose gold baggage masks, they're nice and cooling and reduce any swelling. Then for brighter under eyes and less dark shadows use a brightner in the morning (I love the Ren one but it is £18, I do notice a difference though) and a good colour corrector before your make up will hide what's left!!
Unfortunately I don't think any single cream can realistically address wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness in one go because the active ingredients are different and you need to apply them at different times. The Ordinary is good for basic but scientifically proven ingredients.
