I have an interview at the beginning of next week and I’ve no clue what to wear - work I have a uniform.

im a size 20-22 and 5’9

I really want to make a good impression but don’t want to spend too much as I won’t wear it much

Black trousers, top or shirt and blazer type jacket would be appropriate in most workplaces, I should think. Trousers and plain top can always be worn again anywhere. Add a long scarf if you want to dress it up a bit or add more colour.

Thanks. What about shoes?

honestly - I’ve worn uniform for so long in work, out of work it’s jeans and hoodies with trainers

What about shoes?

Black ankle boots? I bought a very comfortable pair from a Pavers outlet before Christmas, having worn trainers for years.

If you're in trousers, flat or low heeled boots or shoes will be fine, especially as you're tall.

I have some flat black Chelsea style boots? Or patent docs - shoes and boots

I think Chelsea boots would be just right. Smarter than trainers, but comfortable to wear and not obtrusive.

Hope the interview goes well.

Thank you - so nervous!

I don't even think a suit jacket or blazer is needed, unless it's senior management roles.

Keep it classic, black trousers with a nice blouse, or shirt tucked in. Flat shoes or boots will be fine.
