What bra do I need?

I’m still in my maternity bras from when DD was born and she’s nearly 4. I prefer a non wired non padded bra and am all about the comfort. But I’m losing weight and so my boobs are getting proportionally bigger and I’m noticing them more. I’ve noticed in some outfits they’re getting a bit flat/squished looking and making me look a bit dowdy (not the right word…).

Boobs are quite pert. 38C. Zero cleavage as they’re quite far apart. Sadly conical rather than full but seem fuller than they used to be.

Always thought of myself as quite flat chested as am large overall so they don’t stand out much. Hopefully that will change. Have no problem going braless if the outfit requires it - nothing needs keeping in place as such.

Just don’t know what I should be looking for or where to start!
Thanks.

First things first. Get a proper measurement. I guarantee you are not a 38C.

Ok! Where? M&S has always been rubbish. Did the thing at home that people on here recommend…. What’s it called and I’ll do it again? Thanks.

Boob or bust is one of the measuring suggestions. I have similar wide set boobs and half cup or plunge bras make the most of mine. Brastop online have some of the most competitively priced bras.

If you don’t want pads or wires try a boody fuller bust one in size large. Not glam but super comfy

A bra that fits measuring guide got me spot on the the Panache balconette envy bra. Tight but fits, lifts and separates perfectly. Wired though in afraid.

wires are very comfortable when you're wearing the right size. Get measured by the instructions on boob or bust website and then choose a side support bra from M and S or Bra Stop website.

Op what size clothing do you wear on your top half? A rough guide to band size is clothing size + 20 so you should be around a size 18 if you’re wearing a 38C!

most women wear the wrong size bra. The support comes from the band not the straps so it should feel snug if you have to change from something g that’s too big.
boob or bust is good for a ballpark size. Then just try on lots of different styles and shapes until you find something you like.
different shaped boobs suit different styles of boobs ie bottom heavy boobs are better in a balcony style.
it’s a bit of a minefield trying to get the right size etc but once you suss it out it’s a good feeling and clothes fit so much better!

Yes, wearing the right size really gives you so much more confidence in your clothes. To have your boobs where they should be is amazing. To not have your boobs jiggling about when walking/running is great and you do actually look slimmer as your boobs are lifted and your waist makes an appearance and you look so much more shapely! For me anyway!
