A saggy wrinkled neck at age 29

I'm only 29 and that is my neck. My face has wrinkles you can't see in that picture. I was hoping I could reach my 40s before this would happen to me.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Or maybe you relate?

I don't know what you're on about, I can see your sunburn though so I'd recommend you take up wearing sunscreen every day!

Collagen supplements are bollocks btw

Collagen supplements are actually very good to improve the suppleness of the body's fascia, the connective tissues that keep the body moving effectively.

anyone else sat up a little straighter after reading that 😩 (...runs off to inspect neck lines)

The tech neck is no joke.. I was horrified when I saw a candid photo of me from the side with my hair up.. was beginning to get a full on hump from sticking my head so far forward all the time, so it's definitely not a bad thing to be more aware of your posture!

😱you're right! I don't even remember where my neck even is supposed to be, curse these smartphones!

Use some SPF OP! Your neck is fine apart from looking a bit burnt.

Are you the poster who wanted to dress like an “old
lady” because you thought dressing in a more mature way would match your (imagined) wrinkles?

Collagen is broken down into amino acids when it’s digested. Like all other proteins.

The advice is to check that the label says "hydrolysed collagen" or "collagen peptides". Results are generally seen with daily, long-term use (usually 8-12+ weeks). you can also take Vitamin C to help the body produce its own collagen.

Collagen isn't a magic bullet but they aren't totally useless. I take them as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Hi
you have no wrinkles just beautiful skin!!
SPF is good to use daily to prevent ski damage for the future though !

CharlieMM1 · 30/01/2026 13:05

I think it's important you realise that you don't just not have wrinkles. Your skin is very beautiful. Both on neck and face. Lucky you.

outerspacepotato · 30/01/2026 15:37

You're sunburned there.

Wear high SPF and PA rating sunscreen and a hat. That's the best anti aging preventative.

Miniaturemom · 30/01/2026 16:26

I think you look just fine and agree with others what a lovely smile. I’m 40 and took for granted how young I looked and I’m now regretting not paying enough attention to applying sunscreen to my neck and chest, so carry on with that and you’ll be all good!

Lifeomars · 03/02/2026 13:14

You look young and lovely because you are young and lovely. I think that the pressure on women to be hypercritical of their appearance and the fear of ageing starts so early now and a lot of it is due to the madly unrealistic beauty standards seen online. There is also so much money to be made by selling products which promise to stop the clock or reverse the signs of time. Basically all you can do is to eat well, wear sunscreen, get adequate rest, not smoke and have parents with good genes!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, enjoy being a young mum
