I hate my eyebrows!

Just that really.

I’d love advice for best treatments for great eyebrows.
Since I had chemo about 10 years ago, they have changed the direction they grow in 🤣
I currently use an eyebrow pencil, but it doesn’t stay out, especially since I’ve started full on menopause! I use good brands too - both No7 and Charlotte Tisbury.

Please hit me with the best treatments, I don’t mind paying out. I just want a nice classic brow for a lady just about to hit 50.
I see all the offerings online, but no idea what’s best for me.

I had the same issue with brows lost in chemo and now menopause means they’ve never really come back. I was tempted by microblading but that can sometimes only work a few times before your body rejects it and I can’t face the initial HD brow look. I currently use elf waterproof pencil and have got pretty good at drawing them on and it does stay all day, the Mac pencil is also good but a lot more expensive.

Ooo you’ve got a great amount of eyebrow hair! Would an eyebrow perm be your sort of thing? They can set the hairs to fall a certain way to give them a bit more of a defined shape. You could practice using an eyebrow gel (rare beauty do a good one) to see what shapes you like? Personally I get mine tinted (or sometimes use just for men beard dye when I can’t be fussed with an appointment) so they’ve got a good colour then use a brow gel to fix them in the shape I like.

Just seen there is another thread about eyebrows in S&B which has lots of good info. I’m going to look into nano brows which seems to be gentler than microblading.

Eyebrow Lamination and Tint, definitely! You’ve got great eyebrow hair and this would help put some manners on them if you feel some are growing a way you don’t like.

Brow Aid Brown Blade is what you want.

You have good eyebrows though,I'm envious!

I’d go with this. Just a lamination and tint. I do my own at home to save money and find it really easy to do. I buy a 2 stage lamination (perm) kit and then an eyelure eyebrow dye.
Then you just brush them into shape and use a gel - the hairs will go flat and will change direction easily.
probably best to go to a salon for your first attempt so they can shape them for you.
I feel like the other options available just look too intense and you have lovely brows already so they don’t need much doing to them

You look like a good candidate for powder brows. It’s a semi permanent treatment, very natural looking, and will create shape and fill in the sparse areas. You’ve got really nice brows to work with.

Serafee · 30/01/2026 05:08

Shape and lamination (which will make them lie flat). Don’t do anything drastic.

Overtheatlantic · 30/01/2026 05:16

My powder brows which I hope aren’t considered drastic. Before and after.

I would dye them, it's easy and cheap to do at home

Chemo and menopause here too, also commented on the other thread. I like Benefit products, they have loads to choose from and if you go to John Lewis they'll help you choose (and would do shaping etc if you wanted that). A brow growth serum works well for me on sparse areas (I have pitta which came in an advent calendar, but there are lots on the market).

Yes this. Go somewhere decent and explain what you are aiming for. A tint doesn’t have to be ridiculously dark, they can be natural. The lamination and shaping might take a while to get where you want to be.

You can have lamination every 6 weeks or more and if needed a shape and tint in between.

Then get a decent pencil or brow powder and a glue/setter. Nyx and Revolution do good brow setters to hold them in place.

AtIusvue · 30/01/2026 17:09

You need to brush the eyebrow hairs up, then cut along the upper outer edge. It will give a tidy look without having to go to any expense

I have laminated brows ! They look fuller and fluffy ! You have great brows they would look fab on you !
Lamination and tint and in between appointments I use the lamination brow gel by L'Oréal !! Really opens the eyes up as well so much better than the thick heavy hd brows I would not do any of the micro lading ect ect every time I see this people's eyebrows look grey or green it just looks horrible (sorry ).
