How do I turn back time on my hands?

BundleOfChimneys · 25/01/2026 09:14

I’ve looked after my face but not my hands. There is now a 10 year discrepancy between them. How can I make the backs of my hands look better and less wrinkled? I put hand cream on once or twice a day but the damage is done.

Any pro tips?

I started to use some of the same products on my hands as my face ...

I noticed my hands were starting to age and started using my tretinoin on my hands as well. Was pretty much a miracle worker and they improved drastically very quickly. I just use a tiny bit on them every night when I do my face now.

I would, but I wash my hands a lot due to my job. Maybe this is part of the problem, I don’t want to wash Estée Lauder down the sink 20 mins after putting it on.

That sounds perfect. Where did you get it from and do you have a brand name?

I use my LED mask on my hands and it really made a difference.

BundleOfChimneys · 25/01/2026 09:34

But also don’t you have to use an extra SPF cream if you’re using retinoids? This is my downfall. I am outside a lot and I keep forgetting to put sun cream on my hands after washing them.

As in an infrared one? Do you think radiowave treatments would work too?

Could you use gloves

I do for heavy dirty work but not in the summer as I get too hot.

Definitely agree with tretinoin.

Me too it made a massive difference first time of trying it!
I have the omnilux one.
The led is near infrared light, lots of info about them online.

  • to start with, use some chemical product to exfoliate your hands.
  • buy those thin cotton gloves to wear at night wirh cream on.
  • replace all your hand creams with creams wirh SPF 50. Even if you forget to put cream on every time you wash your hands, there will still be some residue from the previous application. But try not to forget, make it a habit like brushing your teeth.

Can you wear gloves if you're outside a lot for work? This might help a bit.

This thread has just inspired me to buy tretinoin.

henlake7 · 25/01/2026 12:16

Copious hand cream obviously but also I found collagen really helped. My hands were one of the first places I noticed a difference.

I started with Skin &Me but switched to buying direct from Alldaychemist to save on costs. I get 0.025 Tretin cream.

SPF 50 every day.
