I'm looking for a swimsuit for a special Asia holiday later this year.

I'm not in terrible shape but I am 50+ and am definitely experiencing a gradual move southwards. My top half looks good but there's a mid-section volume and wobble that wasn't there before.

I'm a tall 14/16 and have a long body and FF boobs so find one piece swimsuits really hard. I'm willing to pay more this time than I usually would (£150) for something good.

Any suggestions for brands I might not have heard of?

Magisculpt. Are amazing. I got this when I was a size 18. I am going to buy it in the 10 right now.

Boden every time

OldieButBaddie · 14/01/2026 12:40

I find Pour Moi are very good and also good value
I hate one pieces, can't stand the soggy midriff. I am a similar size to you but DD and have a bit of a jelly belly but I am not self conscious about it, I just wear a bikini. There are always people slimmer and fatter than me and who cares frankly!
They do a reallly good foldover bikini bottom so you can decide how much you want to show/hide and you can get different styles of tops incl tankinis
I have this for eg

Search Results | Pour Moi

with the twist front bikini top like this in that Ultramarine colour
Free Spirit Lightly Padded Underwired Twist Front Bikini Top in Ultramarine | Pour Moi

They go up to FF and have plenty of onepieces too

YellowPixie · 14/01/2026 19:48

Recommend an Australian brand called NipTuck. They sometimes have them on TK Maxx.

Offit · 14/01/2026 22:00

Seafolly? Some of the suits are quite structured and they're designed for bigger cup sizes I think https://uk.seafolly.com/products/seafolly-collective-boyleg-one-piece-10316-942-black?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20366385092&gbraid=0AAAAAotsFoAWtd5qDrl9Q4rKcla92usSB&gclid=CjwKCAiAmp3LBhAkEiwAJM2JUA-Z0zOL__ryTsBfIi7qXP7se_8F_caVkZpUyBU9uGeAw84klktVmhoCLE4QAvD_BwE

I strongly suggest you look at Fantasie. The ones with underwire are best. I have two and absolutely love them!

GlasgowGal2014 · 14/01/2026 22:39

I'm ten years younger than you, but am a 14/16 and have FF boobs and a long torso with a big perimenopausal tummy and I swear by this swimsuit from next: https://www.next.co.uk/style/su818222/193480

If you click on the sizes and scroll down you'll find the tall option, which is nice and long in the body and it has light stomach control with flattering ruching. I've got it in various colours and would really recommend it. They a patterned version too which is a bit more expensive, but still well within your budget.

JazzyBBBG · 14/01/2026 22:44

You can still pick up some Figleaves swim wear online they do long and FF's - I have some!

Minicarz · 14/01/2026 22:52

@Ruthietuthie
Which style did you go for?

Newstart26 · 14/01/2026 23:27

Longer length range at Halocline. The design range is a bit limited but if you can find one you like they are fantastic.

Ruthietuthie · 15/01/2026 00:11

@Minicarz, I have the u-bar halter-neck bikini and the la bocana plunge top. Both give surprisingly great structure to my large but quite saggy bust (sounding really attractive here!!!)

BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation · 13/01/2026 12:34

I was on a very similar quest - similar age and similar problem areas. I got a tankini from Lands End. The top is halter neck, with light padding on the cups (no chance of nipples showing) then the stomach area has a kind of rippled fabric layer which is quite forgiving. The bottoms are like knickers under shorts, the knicker layer is tight and stays in place when swimming, the shorts add additional coverage (also handy in modest Asian countries, although the whole thing is far less modest than what the locals would wear). Plus you don't have to pay much attention to your bikini line 😉

It isn't just modesty, back and shoulders burn in minutes, even with the best sunscreen.

3luckystars · 15/01/2026 08:11

Some of these are amazing! Some of the prices are amazing too.

Flowerlovinglady · 15/01/2026 08:34

Lands End do longer swimsuits - I find they run a bit small for the bigger boobed woman though so tend to size up - the extra stretchiness means the additional size doesn't cause a problem. The do one called the Tugless that is very firmly stretchy or a slender one that is quite nicely styled. They specifically do TALL sizes. They probably aren't the most sexy of swimsuits.

Fantasie do swimsuits for women with bigger boobs - a bit more stylish but they don't, as far as I am aware, offer specifically longer body suits but I'm usually Okay with them. They are difficult to size up length wise as you buy them according to your boob size although obviously you could just buy a bigger boob size than actual.

Highlighta · 15/01/2026 08:50

NipTuck from Australia are really amazing swim suits.

I have a reversible one (I don't know if they are still available) and it is the most flattering swimsuit I have ever owned.

I am also long bodied, so finding something to fit is a nightmare. I just feel more comfortable in one piece and I honestly think this brand catered well for the long torso gals.

Also has the stomach control with some gathering which sounds terrible, but looks so good on. And its comfortable, which is a biggie for me.

Beesandhoney123 · 15/01/2026 23:02

M&s do a brilliant timmy control one which also supports a large bust. I have had one for years. I'm short with a 32g bust and a Cs tummy. anyway, I put this on and it's really flattering without being uncomfortable. Filter by magic tummy control.

Or bravissimo, but they are expensive.

Nomedshere · 16/01/2026 14:04

Halcoline

GatherlyGal · 21/01/2026 14:43

So the Hiedi Klein ones have gone back. Really lovely but too short in the body and weirdly high cut over the bum cheeks causing a wedgie-effect.

Pourmoi ones have also gone back as they are also just too short in the body.

I'm waiting for a couple from Cupshe to try and I've gone for some bikinis too.

@mrschocolatte how's the Miami one?

I haven't tried Nip and Tuck because they are coming all the way from Oz and postage / return are not free but they are next on the list!

@GatherlyGal Oh I did promise to update when it arrived….so I loved it! I hate underwired costumes and this is a great alternative. The cups are supportive and for once I have a costume that makes my boobs look pretty decent. i felt very held together in it and it seems like it has good bum coverage too. I go on holiday next week so will report back after I’m back on how I fared with it.

mrschocolatte · 05/02/2026 11:35

Hi @GatherlyGal I’m on holiday and happy to report the Miami costume is doing the business! Great support and I feel comfortable and confident walking around. It feels good on too and covers my bum too. It’s a winner for me!

HollywoodTease · 05/02/2026 12:01

I bought a base black bikini from Curvy Kate (go for the padded strapless top if they still make it, fantastic support!) and then got some floaty tankini tops in bright colours from Shein 😳 which I wear over the bikini.

I'm short and dumpy with HH boobs and this combination covers the worst of the wobble nicely!

I used to get my swimming costumes from Bravissimo.com but they were really expensive then last year I found Peacocks. I do aqua classes three atimes a week and love the peacocks ones. www.peacocks.co.uk/womens/swimwear?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_id=22392635735_176019055174_743112351260&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22392635735&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnJHMBhDAARIsABr7b87YR9dE7iTEHgin1EbVpSEG8W5ojZG4CZ9mwLuQqb2LqTt6RiCRg_UaAg_yEALw_wcB

I’ve been searching for a swimsuit for my rapidly upcoming holiday and it’s like trying to find the holy grail! I’ve plumped for the Miami swimsuit from Bravissimo. Should be arriving any day now. It’s the support for boobs I find most difficult - I’m short and have FF/G cups. Keeping fingers crossed this will tick the box.

Miami Swimsuit

I've got this one

It's really supportive. I've got it in a 28HH. It's actually quite flattering too. Makes my tummy look better than it is. It's comfy. I would have tried the orange one on but it's very limited apparently when you've got big boobs and smaller back. Only the black one comes in my size.
