Slouchy leather crossbody every day bag

SwimmingFree · 10/01/2026 23:59

As the title suggests I’m looking for a slouchy, crossbody bag that holds phone and other daily things, doesn’t need to hold loads.

I would love burgundy but also happy with green, black and brown.

I have a mulberry Bayswater that I adore for work and so would really have loved another mulberry but out of my price range this time. Probably nothing more than £300.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Is this slouchy?

It even says in my comment that it’s NOT slouchy - but it was the one I’d ordered as they have a sale on. I further commented that op might find something at Demellier.

It’s actually hard to find a slouchy cross body. Most that people have posted are shoulder bags.

I have a small Halley bag and I love it. So simple and comfortable to use. They sometimes have limited colours.

These look gorgeous.

I’ve never heard of Anna Pugh bags but they are gorgeous. I don’t think you would need another bag if you had one of these (never let anyone know I said that!)

I’m not sure if this is slouchy enough for you? In spite of the picture it is a crossbody….you get a choice of two crossbody straps with it and the short handle can be removed. A good choice of colours. I’ve got a couple of Pom Pom bags….tried Osprey and Aspinall but their crossbody straps are soooo short. They are very inexpensive too. Great for everyday. (edited because I just can’t get this link to work!)

I get sad on bag threads because hardly any of them come with silver coloured hardware.

Mercules is a nice bag brand at this price point.

I wanted a navy Bayswater and recently bought one in gorgeous condition on Vinted for under £300 inc authentication and shipping. Some lovely burgundy/oxblood ones there...

If you want bags that are really slouchy, the Rowdy range is worth looking at - https://www.rowdybags.co.uk/collections/leather-crossbody-bags . I've got one and it's great, although I would prefer another internal pocket/compartment myself

I wanted to say thanks @Nothungrycat for mentioning Rowdy! They were new to me. I missed one on eBay but have successfully just bought one on Vinted! I’m really looking forward to it!

TragicMuse · 30/01/2026 14:05

OMG, it’s arrived and is FANTASTIC! Soft soft soft. Floppy. Great straps. And the seller included a little matching purse/pouch.

i absolutely adore it. Thanks for the rec.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Rowdy cross body as a perfect slouchy hobo tote if anyone is looking for one.

Some of the suggestions on here… 😬

What's your suggestion then @PeonyPatch ? Come on, don't be shy.

Well, there’s nothing wrong with giving your opinion. That’s what online forums are about. Personally, I’d look at ba&sh, allsaints, demelier or coach for the price point that OP is looking for.

This from Aspinal is lovely:
