Guess how many dresses I own!

How many dresses do I own? Want to guess?
I’ll start by saying this is lighthearted!
I have dresses in my large wardrobe from 1993. Sizes 14 to 22.
i haven’t moved house in 20 years. I don’t wear dresses for work.
Im 56.

I'm including every dress I found in my attempt to declutter. So it has my wedding dress ( not a conventional one) in the total.

I also do not wear dresses for work, so going by how many dresses I had before I moved.
So I guess 2.

@Emergencysandwichguessed!

I have 83 dresses.
Im rather embarrassed.
I obviously need a cull.

🥳 as my prize for a correct guess, can I request photos of the most 90s one/s 🙃

DelphiniumBlue · 06/01/2026 20:56

All those years, all those sizes, must be 50+, maybe 75+.

wotsitallfor · 06/01/2026 20:57

135

I played this game just before Xmas, I guessed I have 14 the actual answer was 27.!! The scary thing is I had a house fire 3 years ago where I lost all but 3 of my dresses. So I’ve bout 24 in 3 years, but they are mostly from Vinted.

Well, I was thinking of myself and the fact that she doesn't wear them for work. Now I realise that she has changed dress sizes quite a lot in those 30 years so yes, 12 is a bit low :)

You do not want to see my wardrobe 😂🫣

HappyNewTaxYear · 06/01/2026 22:53

Wow! Do you have a huge bedroom for the very large wardrobe? 83 dresses would take up the long side of my bedroom… and then some

Do you want to know how many dresses I own? (Including my wedding dress).
2 - both handmade as I am a shape that does not suit dresses.

hahabahbag · 20/04/2026 14:50

I have 65 (had a sort out yesterday but didn’t part with any) but I last moved in 2020, if I hadn’t moved i would be on double

Ok so guessed before I looked. That’s ridiculous - get the to a charity shop with it all in a bag!

Denim4ever · 20/04/2026 15:01

It's 2.5 per year as an acquisition rate. So if you've barely got rid of any until now that's not anywhere near as high as it might be.

I've culled mine many times in equiv timescale. I've got about 25-30 if you include wedding dress and the 2 dresses I had made for fancy balls in the late 80s. Not all all of them fit, but most do.

Allseeingallknowing · 20/04/2026 15:16

86? Wrote this then saw the answer!

Theres gold in them thar dresses!

StationJack · 20/04/2026 15:53

Three. A black one, one you love bit probably won't wear again and one that you might wear to a wedding or garden party.

Should have RTFT.
