Please help me find some little soft, lightweight cotton shorts!

My dd2 (nearly 3) has really sore bits in the crevices either side of her front bottom, just where her knickers rest.
I thought little shorts might help as they wouldn't touch on the sore bits, but obviously they would have to be non-bulky to be used as underwear.
Or will she have to go commando for a bit? Not sure she'd fancy this.

Would be very grateful for any help

how about boys trunks? so the leg doesn't stop til after the sore bit. and are you putting sudocrem on it? should help really quickly.

TooTicky · 11/06/2008 23:46

Good idea, but trunks don't seem to come in v. small sizes.

We don't get on well with Sudocrem. Have been using our usual miracle cream but it is not helping

Don't laugh, but how about pyjama shorts. Mothercare has a lovely two piece set of pyjamas. DS has them and I often think he could wear them as beachwear. I'm not sure if they have anything similar for girls (I doubt it) but the boy's ones have shorts in navy and red.

I recently bought dd (2.5)some little cotton shorts from primark (I know,i know but were skint) 2 pairs for £2,age 2-3 ones. She is pretty slightly built and they fitted nicely even over her nappy.

LovelyDear · 11/06/2008 23:59

these? or next have some too

TooTicky · 12/06/2008 00:04

Little boxer shorts from primark.

SmugColditz · 12/06/2008 00:08

for the soreness, try metanium.

My dd has some shorts-style knickers (bought in France so not much help), but some of her friends have similar so they must be available in the UK. Sadly, they create other problems as they ride up, as they're not anchored by elastic around the leg as conventional knickers are.

TooTicky · 12/06/2008 00:20

Ha! Look!

Wonder what they charge for delivery....

I bought DD1 some cute boys' jersey boxer shorts from M&S a few years back; she loved them and reckoned them the comfiest thing ever..

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 12/06/2008 00:28

I think Vertbaudet may do free delivery if you order online. Once you buy from them, you'll get a mailing every couple of weeks (or so it seems)!

FrannyandZooey · 12/06/2008 07:52

TooT search for Vertbaudet codes and you can get reduced prices, free delivery etc
don't pay full price with their stuff ever as it is designed to hook you in with discounts all the time
I think I have 30% off code will check later
it's free returns also so order 2 sizes if in any doubt - the sizing is French and seems a little different (smaller?) to UK

here you go TooT - 0184
enter at checkout to get 30% off and free delivery
in theory you are not meant to pass these codes around but I have never known anyone have the least trouble with it
sometimes they expire and then it won't alter the total when you check out, so just make sure you have the right total before paying
