Which Dyson Airwrap?

DDs birthday next week and im looking to gift her the ID. Im not sure which version is best- staight/wavy or Curly/Coily. Die to the £££😱 I need to get this right! I also want it to be a surprise.

Dd hair is mid length with a slight wave. She does like beach waves and the occasional bouncy curls. What's the difference? Obviously I've googled that exact question but would like to know from actual users please 🙏

With no real reason I'm currently leaning to the straight/wavy.

I'd no one don't intend to ever secretly borrow it for my crazy frizzy mop that could give Tina's wig in 'Whats love got to do with it' a run for its money!

I would get the long version, I have very similar hair. I use the brush attachment for straight, round brush for blow out look and then the barrels for curls/ waves. I love mine, I'm actually on my second, but in some groups I'm in, people just don't get on with it. If you buy direct from Dyson you get a 30 day trial window. You don't get this anywhere else.

DD19 has waist length typical blonde texture, which dries naturally with a wave. She was very happy with the straight one for Christmas and has created some good curly styles while she's been trying it out, both beachy style and tight curls.

I think (?) you can buy the diffuser attachment so would that then make the straight similar to the curly attachment-wise?

I have very mixed texture hair, mostly wavy but with some tighter curls underneath and more straggly straight-ish bits on the top. I bought the straight/wavy version and it's brilliant for getting my hair straight, I haven't even tried the straightening attachment, I just use the smoothing brush. I haven't tried doing curls with it yet. I got the Co-anda 2.

I have one with the long hair attachments. if hair past shoulders you will need to by this one. it's hard to master at 1st ( I have very long thick hair ) but now I can do a good bouncy blowdry
however I will add it DOES NOT GIVE CURLS so if your specifically want it for curls look for a curling tongues or use ghd - dyson drop quicker and don't last
the dysin gives you large bouncy waves not tight curls

Honestly, I have one - I have waist length straight(ish) hair and I found it a total waste of money. I currently use it as a very expensive hairdryer…

Mixed reviews then? Im cack handed when it comes to hair and make up and i don't have a creative bone in my body. Therefore I myself would probably not get on with it. My DD is a pro and this sort of thing and would make her hair look expensive within nano seconds so I think it would be an investment for her (yes I know its not really an investment but get my drift). I think I'll go for straight/curly version. Thanks All and HNY!!!
