i have had more or less the same haircut since i was 14!!!

bit longer at times, sometimes its a bit shorter and nowadays i don't use hairspray!!

It is currently almost waist length with one slightly short layer. I need want a new style BUT, it has to be one i can tie back if i don't have time (or its a bit greasy!), it needs to be a style i can brush quickly, no faffing around with straighteners/gel/mousse etc

while we are on the hair topic then, I have an appointment for cut and colour on friday morning. My hair is currently just sitting on my shoulders, limp and lifeless. Shall I get it trimmed and coloured first and see if I like it again or shall I just get it all chopped off?? DH wants me to get it cut like a singer called Rihanna but I think I might be showing my age by saying I have no idea who she is!!!!!

I'm gonna miss it as I have to clear the dishes and put ds to bed - then I'm off out. Sorry couldn't be more help

its neither thick nor thin - medium, a fringe may annoy me but i am not adverse to a long one. i tend to wear my hair up purely as its so bloody long and heavy at mo (will be donating my hair to wig place) its poker straight when i blow dry it and ever so slightly wavy when it dries naturally

BDF could you have a consultation with hairdresser, see what they recommend, bearing in mind you need low-maintanance, fuss-free hair. Those hairstyle mags cost a bomb [tight]

Furball, thank you, apparently DH means like the second one that you linked to, the shortest one. i think though he has slightly missed the fact that although I am as beautiful as Rihanna and as slim I do not have even one ounce of body or thickness to my hair so i am not sure her style will work. And while I really really like yours Boysarelikedogs I'm not sure if I am feeling brave enough just now.

we had a small vote after the exams today and the concensus was that i should leave it long. As I hate getting my hair cut (I would rather go to the dentist) I've decided to go with the vote and juts have it coloured and trimmed and see how I like it. Thanks for all your help though. If I'm bored in a few weeks time I shall be having it cut like your BALD!
