Starting a new job and need outfit help

I am about to start a new office job in a few weeks at a doctor's surgery (in the back office), but I have been WFH for 5 years, so don't really have anything suitable. It's smart casual. I have 2 pairs of high waisted tapered paperbag trousers that I wore for interviews (in burgandy and black), but I prefer wide-legged trousers. What should I wear on top? Fine knit jumpers, shirts, blouses?! Do people wear black jeans for smart casual? Or shall I stick with trousers? Should I get a blazer? I'm 5ft 2, and carry more weight around my middle. Any suggestions for workwear would be appreciated - no idea what will look nice!

And I need to get some boots too to go with these trousers, any suggestions on styles? Would chelsea boots look ok?!

You could probably get everything you need (apart from boots) from Uniqlo

Look particularly at the collabs; this for example:

Not massively stylish but most people in my similar workplace wear plain black trousers and an easy to wash patterned blouse / shirt. Two pairs of trousers and half a dozen tops and you're all set.

Perhaps you won't have much contact with patients but I have sometimes felt a bit conspicuous when I wear my nicer clothes - a lot of our service users are struggling to put food on the table so I try not to wear expensive knitwear and jewellery as it feels a bit tone deaf to do so.
