Permanent facial hair removal.

I’m menopausal and looking for permanent treatment for my facial hair.
It’s very dark and thick, grows back really fast and I’ve been plucking it for years which I know makes electrolysis more difficult.
Has anyone gone for laser treatment first then electrolysis? Or managed to get rid of it with just laser treatment without having to keep going back? I’ve heard laser treatment isn’t permanent, I need it gone permanently there’s too much.

Please can someone advise or give me your experiences on permanent hair removal as I’m clueless.

Laser is not permanent. If you're going to get electrosis, go with electrosis and save your money.

I do electrosis on my eyebrows and upper lip and it's helped so much. In between the treatments, I get my brows threaded for cleanup.

I do Brazilian laser because I'm too scared to try electrosis down there yet, and its made the regrowth very soft and shave-able, but I still have to shave a few times a week.

Thanks for the reply.
I’ll go with electrolysis if it’s going to be better in the long run, I just want it gone. Downstairs I’m not too fussed about it’s just what everyone else can see I’m bothered about for now 😅
Is electrolysis really painful?

I did epilate down there for a while but I stopped it’s pretty painful.

I had electrolysis on my face and it took lots of ££ and years for it to work. I did laser treatment on my bikini line and legs and it worked from the first treatment. Amazing results. And it’s never come back. I’ve never heard that it’s not permanent as that’s not been my experience at all.

If your hair is dark on your face I’d definitely recommend laser treatment. Best thing I ever did. I had double hair growth and sensitive skin so nothing else worked. I couldn’t wax, shave or use creams. Laser treatment literally changed my life!

@JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOnReally? Years? I haven’t got the money to keep at it for that long.
I bought one of those home laser treatment things from a charity shop, it was brand new and cost me £6. They were just over £500 in the shops at the time so I was dead excited. It was useless!
Thanks for the info ladies it’s very helpful. Back to the drawing board… 🥸

Professional laser only. The at home ones do not work at all in my opinion. I did it for bikini line with a Groupon and it lasted 15 years till I had a child and the hormones screwed it up. The regrowth has been minimal though. 100% recommend.

I can't do laser as my facial and body hair is too pale and fine. I've had electrolysis, it took about 2 years in total but I started off with 7 minutes once a week, then dropped it to fortnightly, then monthly until it was dealt with. It was about £13 per treatment I think, but I got a discount because I paid ahead for 10 sessions at once. Worth every penny
