Comfy trousers

I’d like some comfy trousers that wash well and look nicer than tracky bottoms but feel as comfy. I need tall fitting. I’m a size 14.

Try M&S. They have several pairs of stretchy trousers.
Jersey Slim Fit Ankle Grazer Trousers | M&S | M&S
Jersey Wide Leg Trousers with Stretch | M&S | M&S

Otherwise, be a bit more specific about what sort of look you'd like and what you'd like to pay.

FurForksSake · 25/12/2025 13:31

I have both those M&S trousers and they are great. They come up a touch short.

I also have halara cords and waffle trousers that are super comfy.

I like the look of these!

ExpatForLife · 26/12/2025 06:29

I wear these at least once a week. They are work appropriate but feel joggers.

For work? Walking the dog?
I like Uniqlo for smart stretch trousers for work. Best quality for price.

thornbury · 26/12/2025 06:47

Halara - I have their straight leg work trousers in 3 colours as well as some jeans.

BusterGonad · 26/12/2025 07:15

I'm a tall (5'10) size 14 and I love the Mango leggings with seam (their description). They are actually more like trousers, they flare at the ankle and are extremely flattering. They have a great selection of elastic waist trousers at the moment, some more casual than others. Obviously not all are long enough but plenty are.

InTheNotswolds · 26/12/2025 08:07

I’m wearing Aspiga needle cord trousers today. Soooo comfy but not sloppy.

Why do they seem to market the clothes for people who are overweight or obese?

Don't ever look at Snag's ads for thongs then!

FurForksSake · 26/12/2025 10:39

Why do snag advertise clothes for people in bigger bodies? Because they are an inclusive brand that are trying to fight fat-phobia and fat-washing and it’s their mission to sell clothes that anyone could buy?

FruitWordSalad · 26/12/2025 10:46

Snag sell clothing patches saying 'choke me'. And they think MN is a toxic cesspool. They will never get a penny from me.

Heckate · 26/12/2025 10:58

@FurForksSake , I have no issues with bigger bodies but being obese is not healthy.
Women can be all shapes and sizes. The site does Short, Regular and Long, but can't find the measurements for those.

All Knickers – Snag looks like a selection of knickers for overweight women.
If it was inclusive it would include models who are short, tall, slim, with disabilities etc.

upstairsdownstairscardboardbox · 26/12/2025 11:04

A lot of the snag photos are sent in by women themselves - I am sure they are advertising their only fans or whatever pages and driving traffic. It makes me feel very queasy and I much prefer brands that do show clothes on a range of body types.

Heckate · 26/12/2025 11:07

@upstairsdownstairscardboardbox , thanks. I got 'fat fetish' and a 'for women who struggle to find clothes that fit' vibes from it.

I'll continue to get my pants and tights from Primark.

For popping to the shops or running an errand. I hate wearing leggings but my day to day clothes are quite ‘dressy’ and sometimes I just want to throw something on to pop out but still look decent.

I’ve never found uniqlo trousers long enough for me.

We are the same height and size! I’ll check out your recommendations, thank you.

Unfortunately most aren’t about tall fit, which is what I need.

I bought snag dungarees once and they were awful quality. I do like their tights though.

Uniqlo now have some styles that are a longer fit - hope this link works!

Heckate · 26/12/2025 13:57

The link works but the inside leg length isn't that long. 32" isn't very long.

Heckate · 26/12/2025 14:08

M&S Extra Long is 35" I think
