Eternal question - which cover-up for floaty dress at wedding?

I have some rust/copper silk georgette which I'm going to make up into this style for a wedding. It has a slight pattern in the fabric.

There are lots of tan/rust shoes around so that's not a problem but I'm stuck for a cardigan/bolero and what colour would be best?

It would be hard to match the colour and might look a bit over-co-ordinated anyway. I'm thinking ivory bolero in mohair/cashmere, but can't see one to buy anywhere.

can you knit?

some possibilities here - the brown chiffon one might work, esp if you have brown shoes etc on

or several cardies in LA - I like this one

ALso try Principles and Kew, but I wouldn;t hold out for cashmere. Mohair is a bad idea as it'll shed.

Bundle, yes I can knit but am a bit unsure whether I have time in 4 weeks to both make the dress and a shrug! I don't really want the shrug to be some chunky big-needle thing.

I had my eye on this in ivory but I think it's a bit too much work.

MrsB, good point, I am realistic about cashmere, meant "cashmere-like" obviously! I am not sure how a dark colour or brown will look with the dress colour.

Debenhams online (and presumably instore too) have a v good selection.
chocolate
Natural
ivory
yellow
ivory lurex (double - you'd have to see it in the flesh).
OOh, gold? (also in brown - funny how the pattern looks like nipples)

agree it might be optimistic!
what about something like this next time?
