Foundation for large pores

I have been using No7 HydraLuminous foundation for a while and have found that it’s great for not settling into my large pores like other foundations do, but I am finding recently that it seems to disappear off my skin after a few hours.

So, I’d like to find a new one that is great for not settling into pores but also has more coverage than HydraLuminous. I’ve found using Primer before any foundation is very hit and miss with stopping the pore issue too.

I’m early 50’s and skin is normal/very slightly oily t-zone and I’d prefer budget/mid-range prices.

I have large pores on my nose. I use Benefit Porefessional then Estée Lauder Doublewear.

If you’re happy with your shade in No 7, then have a look at some other formulations. I’ve recently switched to their long lasting compact foundation. It’s a bit heavier but good with the pore issue.

Try danessa myrecks (think just misspelled her name) primer - she does do foundation too but I like the neutral one which partly acts as a primer and makes makeup last and hugely reduces your oil when you are a big pored oily t zone person. This helps foundation look good.

For all day coverage I use the blurring balm (trust the process as it’s weird and greasy to touch but then mattifies) then really prime a brush with a small amount of double wear and do the lightest coverage on my t-Zone. Hourglass ambient powders give a bit of glow on top. Avoids the mask look you can get with DW and lasts until bed time.

I know you're looking for foundation recommendations, but with the pore issue, for me, I found this to be about what was under the foundation. No primers that I've tried, across the price range and with advice from counters, have worked for me. What does work is a thin layer of a balm moisturiser. Bonus is I look a little glowy as a result. I use the Estee Lauder 8 hr nighttime miracle balm. It's great for lips too.
