Help! My face is peeling

Started with Dermatica around 3 weeks ago and have been using it with plenty of spacing between applications - a week, 5 nights and now down to 3 nights off, next night use tret. Peeling started after first application and isn’t letting up. Last time, I used moisturiser then tret, then moisturised again. I’ve read that this can be perfectly normal but how long does it last? Wonder whether I should increase the frequency of using it just to try and get this stage out of the way?

Any advice appreciated! Thanks.

It doesn't sound ver good. I think it might be better to only use it once a week and gradually increase to 3 times a week over a period of 4 months or so.
For now, I think you should stop using anything until your skin recovers.
I use tretinoin and never had this problem but, but, but it took me a long time to build up to 3 times a week.

I thought I was going slowly given their instructions to use daily! Lol. I’m hoping it will settle but have sent them photos and will see what they say. Most of what I’ve read talks about a long game, which I’m happy to play.

Will have a look for the Aveeno, thanks, @Tryingatleast.

Yes don't listen to them. If the product is tretinoin (not rentinol), you want to take your time. It is a bit frustrating at first but it is worth the wait.
The tretinoin I use is 0.05 and I'd never use it daily.
In addition, never use string acids the same day as tretinoin (glycolic or salicylic acid).
Be as gentle as you can.
I hope your skin will recover quickly!

@Branster , your advice was spot on, thank you! They replied to say take a break and use an emollient 2-3 times daily and then resume x3 a week - that bit I will ignore and do weekly to build up.

Now to find a good emollient - all suggestions welcome!

La roche Posay cicaplast balm is great if you’ve compromised your skin barrier. It goes on like sudocrem though so give it time to sink in to avoid looking like Caspar!
