What’s the best way to apply these eye shadows?

I am making a bit of a mess of applying these. I am wearing them over a primer. I have used my fingers and the applicators that come with it. Any tips gratefully appreciated!

Joining to glean tips too - hope you don't mind, OP.
I love eyeshadows like that but invariably end up looking a bit bruised and grubby rather than smokey eyed.
So off I trudge, back to the neutrals.

You need to use a proper brush(es) to apply that eyeshadow rather than those rubbish applicators that come free. And fingers are only really useful if it’s a cream eyeshadow whereas the Chanel ones you’ve bought look like powders? You need a more delicate touch for powders so you don’t apply too much plus blending is easier with a decent brush.

Then just follow Chanel’s own suggestion on your link:
• To illuminate the eyes, apply the silver-toned dark purple shimmer to the middle of the eyelids, then add a hint of the blue shimmer highlighter to the inner corners.
• To intensify the eyes, apply the matte blue-grey shade to the eyelids, then layer the satin lavender shade on top to create an ombré effect. Blend from dark to light, working from the lower to the upper edge of the eyelid.

I use Trish McEvoy brushes for eyes (I have done for years) but there are lots of brands to select from these days.

I always use eyeshadow brushes, those foam applicators are useless.

Any particular make you'd recommend?

Also, Shirley on Strictly tonight is how I'd prefer my eyeshadow not to look (immaculate though it is).

@LaMarschallin I have a completely random assortment that I've collected over the years, some expensive and some on the cheaper side. I don't find that it makes much difference as long as they're not very cheap, something mid-range will do the job perfectly well.

@Britpopbaby Hourglass have a reputation for very good make-up brushes and you can often find brand new ones on Vinted at bargain prices. Usually when one of the subscription beauty boxes (like Liberty etc) has included a brush and lots of people sell it on to make extra money. I keep an eye on Vinted for Trish McEvoy brushes for that same reason. 😊

Cheaper than Trish and Hourglass, IT Cosmetics also do good brushes (although I don’t think most people in their UK are aware of it). I have a small set from them that I use when I’m travelling that I’ve had for at least a decade.

And don’t worry, just build up the eye colour slowly so you won’t look like Shirley B! 😜

I was taken aback by her eye make up as well! It looked like the make up artist had gone from a champagne colour to dark black.
