Microfibre hair towels - are they really better?

Growing out a pixie aged 47, itโ€™s been well over 24 hours since making the decision but the hair has not made much progress ๐Ÿ˜‚ any help and advice is welcome.

I have been reading about MF towels, they look a pit of a faff with the button at the back but do they make a real difference to frizz?

No idea about frizz (it's one of the few hair issues I don't have) but they're dramatically faster. And they dry faster too, so they're not wet the next day. I have some with a button and some that are just small towels. Both work.

No, theyโ€™re horrible and donโ€™t last! Went bobbly and itโ€™s terrible for the environment to boot

@janiejonstone thank you. Where are you normal, no button, MF towel from, if you donโ€™t mind sharing the links please?

Iโ€™ve a couple of no button towels which Iโ€™m sure were from mountain warehouse. Designed as camping towels - super absorbent and take up little space, and happily, work well for frizz free wavy hair! I also have a perfect hair towel, which is the smoother shinier sort of microfibre.

I had a Dock and Bay one but didnโ€™t find it made much difference so reverted back to a normal towel. The game changes for my frizz has been Living Proof Styling Cream, basically out a blob in before drying. They do travel sizes so you can check if you get on with it as it is expensive.

I love mine, I have very long hair and it dries so much quicker having spent 10 minutes wrapped in a microfibre towel. I don't know if it helps with frizz, I've started using Olaplex shampoo and that has made all the difference.

I also have a mountain warehouse camping one and it's brilliant for no frizz and I have very curly frizzy hair

I am growing out a pixie too for 7 months and its taking forever (sorry!) and i like my microfibre towel for drying and keeping my hair off my face as I apply skincare or make up. I do think it's better than drying with an ordinary towel for frizz however for frizz specifically I love applying the ordinary hylauronic acid on my damp hair and then the loreal syrum, I also recommend this gel it doesn't leave hair crusty or oily and doesn't have a strong scent:

Hylauronic acid

The towel i like
This brand (Kitsch) is amazing their products are high quality well made and last well , hair towel better than what I tried from amazon where the microfibre towel was thin and button fell off, loop got saggy and baggy but this one is great

The syrum

I also recommend trying this it smells amazing and calmed the frizz down
