A scent that smells like fresh soap...

On a flight to Greece from Manchester a few months ago, (I think Jet2...) there was an air hostess who smelled amazing. Hopefully someone knows who she is/what it is or someone else smelled her and asked what it was and can now tell me 😁

Everytime she walked past, the scent would trail behind her and linger for a little while. It was quite strong. I couldn't pick out any particular notes, just that it smelled like a clean, fresh, soap smell. Not musky, not florally, but maybe it was, there was just nothing I noticed but... soap! I was just googling to see if I could find a description and something had the description of 'white soap'. That's the only way I can visualise it!
I wish I had asked her at the time but thought it might come across abit weird... Feels weird enough to be writing about her so maybe I should have just bit the bullet and asked directly!

Imagine you've just had a luxurious, creamy, soapy shower. Then got wrapped up in a cosy, soft, fluffy towel. It had that kind of comforting scent. Maybe was her perfume, maybe was her clothes detergent, definitely wasn't just soap as in she'd just washed her hands 👀 was far too strong to have been that. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what it might have been? 🙏

I love a clean white soap scent but find aldehyde headache inducing as it comes off as harsh to me. Soap is a much soft scent. First thing that came into my mind was JLo Glow like a pp. Very soft and cosy but also clean and fresh.

I used to work nights and loved the smell of the day shift arriving smelling all freshly showered when we’re all tired and sweaty. Sorry a complete aside but I do love that fresh soapy smell and would love to find the perfume you are looking for!

Maybe Philosophy Amazing Grace….or it could be one of the off shoots of this scent eg Pure Grace. Or Clean Classic Cool Cotton

Could be the Glossier You fragrance, I can’t smell it on myself but I always get compliments when I wear it

I second J Lo Glow. I bought it precisely because I'd read that it smelled like soap (I don't tend to buy celebrity brand products generally).

Not sure on the fresh soap but I sniffed a scent called Cashmere (I think it was that one) in Next the other day and it smelt just like baby powder.....not sure it would be my cup of tea as a perfume but it was almost identical.

I don’t think it was any of the classic scents that people have suggested here. I’ve smelled them all and to me they’re floral-y not soapy.

i haven’t tried SJP, J Lo or Byredo… I’ll look them up.

if they were promoting Jo Malone scents, it MIGHT have been Mimosa and Cardamom… I have that and it has a wonderful soft scent which on the right person could be perceived as soapy.

i smelled a lovely soap smell on a man i vaguely know while walking through the woods recently, I nearly chased him and asked him what it was. He’s very wealthy though, so it was probably something out of my price range!

Not sure if it's worth a sniff but on a recent flight I asked one of the lady flight attendants what perfume she had on and it was YSL Libre. It was gorgeous on her, when I tested it afterwards it was very strong...Worth a try?

Look for citrus, lemon smell based soaps or perfumes.

I'm a Spaniard and many Greeks go for the same type of fragrances - clean, fresh and lemon based.

It's not floral at all.

I think Eternity by Calvin Klein is quite clean smelling but probably not the brand a younger person would use
