Biab grow out ridge

I have this raised edge on my biab when it grows out, where the polish has I guess gone into the cuticle/edge. It's not immediately apparent when newly done. This is from the best nail technician I've found so far so don't want to annoy her but what can I do about this? It's not on all nails. Can I buff it down or do I just need to find someone new? I've been looking after my cuticles now so hoping this will help. How to I deal with this please?

You just need them done again? How long ago did you get them done?

Badslipperluck · 01/12/2025 21:11

It's been almost 3 weeks, due to get them redone tomorrow. It's not the grow out that's the issue that's a given, it's the ridge!

Oh, the little flat flap type thing around the 3 edges?

Dont buff it down it will potentially start lifting, just leave it there she will notice and not do it again

Pearlmaster500 · 01/12/2025 21:18

It’s just where its bled into your cuticle as she’s used too much biab in that spot

Badslipperluck · 01/12/2025 21:24

@Pearlmaster500 figured it was something like that. Thank you, I won't buff. Hope she can try not to do it again, really cba to take a chance on anyone new, especially as this time of year!

Nail tech here, this is called flooding the cuticle, this should not be happening, gel should not touch the skin in any way, this will increase the risk of developing allergies, it should always be like the second picture you uploaded. This is poor application from the nail tech.

I’m sure if you leave it she will notice! Or ask and act stupid 😂 then she will defo make sure she doesn’t do it again
