Didriksons or Trespass

CrawlingFromShitshowToAfterglow · 20/11/2025 05:48

I know there have been a few really helpful threads recently on winter jackets. I've narrowed my options down to either a Didriksons or the Trespass Audrey.

Due to health reasons, I need to keep really warm and the recent cold weather has chilled me to the bones!

Can anyone recommend which one out of these? If I'm looking at a Didriksons, which specific one is good at keeping the cold out?

Thanks

I’ve just bought the Erika Parka and I’m concerned it won’t be warm enough. There is snow here today so I will report back after the school run.

Previously I’ve had Mountain warehouse Alaskan Womens 3 in 1 Long Waterproof Jacket and that is really warm.

How was it for the school run in the snow? I’ve just ordered one and a bit worried it won’t be warm enough for me, I really feel the cold!

It felt fine but not as cosy but I have lost 4 stone this year so maybe I’m feeling the cold more. My school run is partly along the north east coat line and it held up really well against the wind.

Didrikson have a clearance bit on their website. Really warm coats. Highly recommend

sequinpanties · 21/11/2025 12:31

These two are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

I live in the frozen north. Today its -4 and what i have found that is a game changer is wearing a Uniqlo ultra light down jacket under it. I picked mine up for less than £10 on vinted!

Bought a Didrikson’s Erika today on the strength of this thread and looking forward to wearing it.

Update: my Didriksons Erika arrived yesterday. I wore it this morning to take DD to her sporting activity. It was quite cold as it was early morning and I was standing outdoors. The Didriksons really did its job! I was really warm from the knees up. I usually feel the cold a lot and most of the parents were complaining it was bitterly cold today. I actually felt so toasty! Thank you to everyone for the suggestion. I'm so glad I bought it!

Great news OP..it’s so nice to be toasty warm on a cold day. Next step is long boots!

LovingAzureJoker · 23/11/2025 11:32

That’s great news, glad it did its job! Did you size up or anything with yours? I’ve read mixed reviews on that.

KilliMonjaro · 23/11/2025 11:44

Didriksons!

I didn't size up. I am usually a 12 in jackets/coats, so I got the same and it fits really well

I need some new boots too.

MissMogs · 26/11/2025 14:21

Mine arrived this morning and is rather snug! I’ve lost quite a bit of weight recently and in everything else I’m an 18, but this coat has me questioning it all! Insane really as I could fit 2 of me in the Joules size 20 I wore all last winter…

Bluebellrain12 · 31/12/2025 10:56

Just found this thread and wondered if anyone had any feedback on Didrickson's sizing? Some places say it comes up small. Also, those with the Erika, do you wear it in, say 10 degrees or would it be too warm for that?

Cosy at 10c but also held up well last nigjt when it was freezing cold, thick ice every where.

The sizing is spot on but the online meaurements on their website suggested I would need a much bigger size then I usually wear which just wasn’t true.

BlueandWhitePorcelain · 31/12/2025 12:12

I’d say Didrikson’s is true to size. I would wear mine, if it’s 10 degrees outside; but I wouldn’t wear it, if I was wandering in and out of shops. IMO, it’s too warm for shops!

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 31/12/2025 16:17

I think the Erika is slightly on the neat side although I have big boobs.

Noeggsontoast · 31/12/2025 16:35

I bought the Erika two weeks ago. I’d say it was true to size and that it is a neater style. I will also say I have not regretted purchasing this and is honestly the best coat for warmth as well as wind and rain protection. Worn it every day since I’ve had it. Hood also stays up in strong coastal winds. I would wear in and
out of shops but unfastened.
