As I wfh and do the school run, my daily care is a shower with simple soap, deodorant and some old perfume that I want to use up. I dont really look after myself unless im out out.

Today I was at the bus stop and caught a waft of lovely smell from someone and got me thinking how good they must feel. So I just wondered what others do, do you take time to layer perfumes etc daily. Any recs for shower gels etc.

@ThatPinkShark I think ive just gotten stuck trying to use up old fragrances that ive been gifted which are very blah/not me, currently SJP Born Lovely. I love more gourmand type scents, and have them, but I tend to keep them for going out properly!

Embarrassingly i do tend to rewear the same jumpers etc because I assume clean as no stains/i dont stink however they dont exactly enhance me! This is a big one as they sit in a pile rather than get hung up. I have tons of other beautiful clothes to wear out out.

I dont tend to apply body cream as no one sees me. I just use simple soap and Mitcham deodorant.

My initial post was also driven by me not really taking care of myself much. Ive appreciated the replies!

Oh god I could do a whole long post on this Blush
my friend said even my presents or cards always smell good

starts with your house, aired well, clean, wash stuff that holds on to cooking smells like scarves, blankets etc
I use soap under arms but then shower gel, body scrubs, lotions etc plus perfume
next summer sun is a decent cheap one, smells like bronze goddess and they do hand soap and shower gel etc

I don’t overspray, key is knowing what’s appropriate and how strong the scent is. A skin scent I might do 6 sprays but only 1 spray of a strong scent

Agree on the house and keeping everything fresh. Open windows in the summer, dry laundry outside if possible. Simmer pots rather than air freshener in the winter.

Put coats over the clothes line on a nice day and give them a mist of perfume (I annoyingly can’t wear it).

I wash with old fashioned bar soap instead of shower gel, change bedding once a week, clean pyjamas every two days, wash my hair every other day wear a lot of natural fabrics, air my house by opening the windows rather than using plug in fresheners and i always wear perfume. I change perfumes according to the seasons, now it is getting cold and dark I am wearing more ambers, musks and fig based fragrences I often get told I smell nice

A light spritz of fragrance is enough. Someone visited our office the other day and their aftershave was so pungent and disgusting it clinged for the whole day
