Zara - help me buy something!

I have a £30 gift card for Zara. No idea what to buy! The website is very fashiony with very skinny models. I’m short and size 16. I did go into the shop today but it was overwhelming.

I’m more of a Boden, M&S, Vinted person…

Any ideas? I like Henley style tops, jumpers that aren’t too tight and big scarves (but the ones in store were extremely weirdly acrylic I think?)

Please help me spend this voucher?! Thank you!!!

Not fashion but I have heard some of the Zara perfumes are fantastic dupes for more expensive brands

Thank you, I did think about perfume but I actually do really need some clothes

I really like their jewellery.
If you look on the website it tells you whether an item is true to size, oversized or has a smaller fit than normal.
I like their basic crew neck jumpers which I think are under £35 and come in a range of colours.
They usually do huge scarves, I’m not sure whether they do wool though.

See I did try to look at their jumpers online. But the photos are really unclear and all the models are SO skinny and I just can’t really see what the jumpers are actually like. Who is shopping there? Younger and thinner people I think 😂😂

(I’m not that old or that fat honestly!!)

So basically they have 3 or 4 ranges, you need to google what the label says to find the one that will actually go up to a size 16. They definitely do as when I was a 16 the XL in one of the ranges fitted great.

Try looking at coats. Not a coat you 'need' but a coat you might like but won't wear often. E.g. a jacket you can wear over a nice top going out.......

I find Zara very hard to buy from. The clothes are terrible quality but if its an item you won't wear often, it will be ok.

I really appreciate this perspective. I’m not a fan of fast fashion and most clothes I buy last for years and years and years. Hmm…. I’ll check out the jumpers. I don’t want to spend much more than £30 so am hoping to find something at about that price.

One of these?

Zara vase

or:

a cushion?

or:

a jug

Maybe not want you asked for but, while I’m fond of Zara, the more exciting clothes are at the upper end of their price range and generally only seen, briefly, online. I doubt they ever make it into more than a handful of physical stores. And honestly, unless you’re very lucky, the quality of the clothes around the £30 mark is really, really poor.

Their homeware, on the other hand, has a generally positive reputation, so might be a much better use of your money.

Edited

Thank you, maybe Zara home is the way to go!

The photos used to lean towards the ridiculous. “Here’s someone coming out of a cupboard/sitting down/bent over, what do you mean you can’t see what the clothes look like?”.
They do have wool mix and some cashmere but it’s not cheap. I’ve had great cotton jumpers and really thick sweatshirts in the past. They do tend to stick diamanté where you don’t need it though.

I’d second perfume .
Never had a bad one
Their clothes sizing is insane though .
