At the grand age of 58, I have finally managed to set a skincare regime in place.
I am currently using Eco Warrier sensitive bar to cleanse, rosewater to tone and this as a moisturiser, with the same brand night cream at night.
I'm nearly at the end of my pot of day cream and wondered if I should splash out on something fancier or if it would be a waste of money.
What are others using? Is cleanse, tone, moisturise a dated concept nowadays. I've had a quick look and it all seems alien to me (micellar water, serum etc!)
Happy to splash out within reason (mid range) but my only stipulation is that everything needs to be plastic free. I was a Clinique DD fan until they put that in a plastic bottle.
I have some rosacea, my skin can get quite dry and - for my age - I am not too wrinkly.
Any suggestions? I was looking at Neal's Yard but wondered if it was worth it?

Hi @Katypp@Katypthere's so much out there!

My skin is dry and was patchy and flaky. It's been great though ever since I discovered this regime: balm cleanser that I rinse of in the shower with a flannel. Glycic acid on a cotton wool pad. Niacinimide and then hyaluronic acid, followed by a rich moisturiser and then a balm moisturiser. This all speaks in after about an hour, and I do it morning and night, and it leaves my skin feeling as comfy and smooth as it did decades ago. I'm mid 50s and in menopause. I'm also taking collagen supplements, and am currently sitting here with my first try of a collagen mask (it's weird!)

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ Ultra Repairing Soothing Balm is a wonder product for dry, sensitive skin. Would never be without it.

La Roche-Posay has a tolerance range which is good for people with rosacea. Also Avene is another French brand which have excellent products for sensitive skin.

Do you know if any of these products are in glass bottles? They all seem to be plastic

Sorry, I didn't notice that you want to creams in glass containers. All the products I buy are in plastic tubes. Very few brands sell their products in glass containers these days.

My skin is so reactive and sensitive that the number one priority is something that works. Not very good for the environment but at least the plastic can be recycled.

Good luck with the search. There must be some eco-friendly brands out there that will be what you are looking for.

After a lot of research I have finalised a routine suitable for my skin. Here goes my routine if you would be interested:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Cicaplast
Evening:
LRP moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

I have to admit apart from adding in a serum I'm a cleanse and moisture only person...always have been.
Just today I noticed Elemis have some good offers on and I love their cleanser and moisturiser so I've just treated myself
