I like it but I wouldn't wear it with footless tights just the heels will be fine.

Dress fine. Footless tights should NEVER be considered beuyond the age of 13.

JodieG1 · 06/06/2008 18:43

I wouldn't wear footless tights. I like the dress though.

Ledodgy · 06/06/2008 18:43

I don't think shirt dresses go with footless tights it will look frumpy even with heels or worse it could look far too 80s and when you've done 80s the first time round tis not a good look.

Footless tights imo are nice as day wear with ballet slippers or other suitable flats and longline or smock top. Never with heels unless you are 16-25.

wingandprayer · 06/06/2008 18:45

That's nice dress. Think it too long to look good with footless tights though - they work best with mid thigh stuff. depends how long your legs though I s'pose

squeaver · 06/06/2008 18:45

I really like the dress but not too sure about the footless tights. Wouldn't work with my cankles - but if you have lovely pins I'd go for it. My BF wears them all the time and she's 40

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 18:45

really like the dress, but if you are dead set on wearing heels, go for no footless tights and nicely (fake) tanned legs.

I am deffo too old for footless tights but do wear them occasionally with ballet shoes.

yes yes always with ballet shoes.

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 18:47

think mid calf footless with mid-thigh dress and then heels will break you up and make you look stumpy.

fishie · 06/06/2008 18:47

i think footless tights (or leggings) can have an unfortunate look, a bit like support pants which have fallen down. or like you are trying to keep warm due to insisting on wearing unsuitable outfit.

also short sleeves, short tights to ankles, high heels?? this is a lot of lines. maybe with flat shoes? have you got these tights then?

Quadrophenia · 06/06/2008 18:47

yes if footless tights and flat shoes, no to footless tights and heels.
would looke nice with purple tights and open toe shoes or court shoes

OverMyDeadBody · 06/06/2008 18:48

wear it without the tights, you have good legs right! Show them off.

Legend · 06/06/2008 18:49

black shorts and top

you sound unsure of the dress without tights

fullmoonfiend · 06/06/2008 18:49

no, no dress is lovely - just listen to us on the footless tights bit.

ohhh black shorts and frilly top?

cocolepew · 06/06/2008 18:50

If the dress is mid tigh the tights/leggings would look better just under the knee. Unless you have looong legs.

S1ur · 06/06/2008 18:50

Ah hmm footless tighs are a bit of tough call at the ebst of times.

've got to go with NO with that dress.

I don't like this much bit too far.

I think mini and flats for footless.
