New Le Chameau neoprenes rubbing heels-any tips? Will they wear in?

Bought some new wellies and they feel like they're the right size (a bit tricky to get off by hand but feels like my toes have enough room) but they seem to rub my heels after about half an hour of wear. I've worn them about 5/6 times and always the same - fine for the first half an hour but then start rubbing. Should I be wearing thicker socks/2 pairs of socks or will they eventually wear in? Any advice appreciated from anyone that has these wellies!

Yes, I live in these wellies (farming) but every time I buy a new pair I wear very thick socks or a blister plaster on my heal until they soften a bit or purchase some welly boot socks that you can leave in the wellies 😊

Thank you so much for replying - I'll try as you have suggested.🤞 they'll wear in. I'm usually a size 6.5 or 7 shoe size dependent on the style of shoe and I went for the 6.5 so hoping it's not that I should have sized up - hard to know when buying online!

First time I wore mine this year was yesterday, and taking them off I was a hot sweaty mess op! I'd lost the knack I think!

But I remember when I first bought mine I had some heel rubbing. So yes, thick socks are a must. Plus they can get awfully cold if you slosh in water to get your stubborn dog out of the stream. 😅

Yes, this had been standard in my experience too. They definitely wear in and end up great, though. Blister plasters and thick socks here too!
