I’ve lost a large amount of weight. My boobs have changed size, shape and volume.
I’m currently wearing 34DD, full cup bra. But it rides up at the back and I don’t fill out the cups properly at the top.
I thought I must need a smaller back and thought that you were supposed to go down a back size and up a cup size? so I ordered a 32E but I can’t even do it up! Not even close! And the cups are still the same problem obviously.

What size do I need?? And what type of bra? It seems a full cup is no longer any good to me but that’s all I’ve worn for decades.

I need underwires, slight padding and no more than about £20 preferably as money is tight. I can’t go anywhere to get measured, I need to buy online.

I've done boob or bust twice and it's given me completely different results each time (and I haven't changed size).

What I don't understand is how it accounts for your ribcage expanding as you breathe. My band measurement is 28in having just exhaled, but nearly 32in having just inhaled. (Big lungs!) And when I've tried a 30in bra, it's been agony, totally unworkable.

Brastop are good for trialling a few different styles sizes and returning the ones that don’t work. They are relatively cheap as well.

Definitely try a few styles in your BOB size. It may have just been the one you tried. Curvy Kate are great once you find your size but their sizing consistency and accuracy is terrible. I find Freya are fairly accurate and consistent.

Also avoid moulded cups. No idea who they model them in but it wasn’t a real woman.

I’ve just lost a lot of weight, was wearing 34c.

I tried on and I found both the back and the cup size had reduced. Now have 32c (size 8.).

You’ll likely have to buy a selection in different styles and send back what’s not good.

You may need a balcony style if you’ve lost volume. Chances are the 32E didn’t do up as the cup size wasn’t big enough so was stealing from the band.

Your back size very roughly will be your dress or top size +20 so if you’re size 12 then you’ll be about a 32 (not perfect method but gives you a good steer). Most people are in too small a cup size though as they’re not scooping all the breast tissue in

I can recommend the M&S Jasmine balcony bra, it’s only £10, comes in loads of colours, is comfy and good if you’ve lost volume so can’t fill a full cup anymore. It’s in both the A-E and F+ sections. Maybe try a 32F as a starting point

This would make me, a 20 in tops, a 40 back.
I wear a 36.
I think it might only work for skinnier dress sizes!
