Is it an every day skirt? No, but it would be if it was silver. However, the gold makes it a perfect skirt for the festive season and metallic foil skirts such as this appear most winters, and for the past few decades at that! It's very much a classic style. Be aware that this kind of pleated skirt does not look great on everyone, so it is worth trying if only to see if it counts itself out.
The main issue is that it is badly styled, the black looks heavy and cheapens the skirt. This is my main concern about such a yellow-based gold. Whites, creams and neutrals will work better, ditto blue denim and chambray.
