Storage ideas for loads of earrings (and necklaces)

Hi all, I have a bit of an addiction to earrings and have amassed quite a few pairs!! I have one of those over the door mirrors which you can open and store jewellery but to be honest, it’s not great at storing earrings as they ivten don’t hand properly and then prevent the door from closing. I then bought a revolving stand but it’s sooo fiddly to use, so just integrated in how others display/store their jewellery please ;)

I have a picture frame with glass removed. I’ve stretched and attached some pretty mesh across the frame from the back (similar to a silk printing screen) from the back and hang them on the mesh. Nothing gets caught up.

I use these little plastic bags from SHEIN (yeah I know not everyone approves of this company). I keep them in a drawer in small boxes like in the photo. My friend has the hanger in the other picture (from Amazon). She does find it a bit fiddly getting the earrings out sometimes, but it keeps them tidy.

I inherited several hundred pairs from a relation and after thinning them out I bought bead boxes off Amazon. Strips of five little pots with five individual lids, ten or a dozen strips in the box with a secure lid over the whole thing. Are brilliant.

Similar but smaller individual sections, five sections to a strip which you can lift out, each section has its own lid. I don't know how to link. Think they were c£15.

I’ve got this Sasha Morel Earrings Organiser,... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B097HSHZRB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share, which is perfect for studs and for small danglies on a stud post or fish hook. Not so good for large danglies, hoops of any size, or danglies on the sort of hook that fastens back into itself. So I’m interested in seeing other options, too.

I don’t have the option of a tall display-style unit or stack of drawers. Whatever I use needs to fit inside my chest of drawers.

ItsNotYou852 · 28/10/2025 07:18

I had a big corkboard, stretched some velvet over it and pinned all my earrings to it. Worked well for me but I don't have many stud types, those would be harder, though I suppose you could pin mini bags up for them.
I liked being able to see them all when choosing for the day.

You need a double sided hanging jewellery organiser as sold on Amazon for about £13.99. There are loops for necklaces on one side and see through pockets for earrings on the other and it hangs in your wardrobe or on a hook on the wall.

thedevilinablackdress · 28/10/2025 07:34

I have an old Ferrero Rocher box in a drawer for smaller stuff 😁 (and larger items in same drawer in boxes the jewellery came in)

Azuresky68 · 29/10/2025 08:26

Stick plastic hooks on the inside of your wardrobe doors to hang favourite necklaces

That sounds like those pill organisers you can get, so you can sort your pills out by days of the week.
They'd work for storing earrings too

Momknockingonmydoor · 29/10/2025 09:00

I was about to say I also have bead boxes and for my every day use which also with my addiction to jewels it's perfect it's got 35 spaces which fits next to my toiletries in bedroom on a shelf

I use an Edwardian wooden bagatelle game (like an early version of pinball) which I lean against the wall and fits in with my antique furniture

These are bead boxes. Only five pots in a strip and too fiddly for pills.

EnchantingDecoration · 29/10/2025 11:11

I've got some tiny ice cube trays for my earrings, they live in my dressing table drawer. No good for big hoops or danglies but most of mine are fairly small.

FemaleBrent · 29/10/2025 15:03

I too am an earrings (and pretty much all jewellery) addict and I have this, it’s epic!!

I have a big version of this, I need earrings displayed in order to remember to wear them.

I got this too and it is great!

I too have a Little Book of Earrings @SpringingOn.

I find it great for storing earrings.
I have a hanging thingy on the inside of the wardrobe with lots of little hooks for my necklaces. Also super handy.
Sorry I don’t have a link.
It may be from The Range or Primark. I can’t remember where I bought it as I got it a few years ago.

debbiewest0 · 29/10/2025 23:47

We use the stackers jewellery boxes and buy the ones with all the little segments.

I just bought the hanger thing and seems ok. I quite like the idea of the bags ;) Ty
