You need Flexitol Heel Balm...its fab! You need to put it on before bed and wear socks over it as it can stain the sheets but in a few days you will be transformed from pigs trotters to er...well, non pigs trotters! ha ha!!

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 22:49

this always puzzles me on mn

what are cracked heels

Dragonbutter · 05/06/2008 22:49

I just saw an advert for it on telly.
Looked down at my heels and yes, they are cracked.
Will watch this thread for alternative solutions.

solo · 05/06/2008 22:49

The Aussie one's good too.

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 22:50

so why do they get cracked does it hurt

zippitippitoes · 05/06/2008 22:50

do you mean hard skin on your heel

Dragonbutter · 05/06/2008 22:51

i think it's just dry skin, no?
wondering if any old moisturiser will do?

LyraSilvertongue · 05/06/2008 22:52

I've been using Waitrose baby bottom butter. working so far. you just need something really oily. Vaseline would probably work just as well.

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 05/06/2008 22:54

I have pompholyx (eczema-ey itchy dry blistery scaly thing [retch]) so need something intense. Have tried E45, baby oil and body butter. Just need softer skin so it doesn't crack and hurt so much

Think it has to be badly cracked for it to hurt but, no, any moitsturiser won't do.

I think the key ingredient is some derivative of urea (don't think about it too much). I don't know the science bit behind how this softens but you need heel cream to make it non pig's trotter-ish.

They work tho'.

janmoomoo · 06/06/2008 12:21

Flexitol is the total biz, it works a treat. Have even persuaded DH to use it and he is amazed by the transformation of his hideous trotters into something that almost looks like normal human feet!

isaidno · 06/06/2008 12:32

I use the epaderm which the doc prescribes for my son's excema. It's like a greasy balm.

lizandlulu · 06/06/2008 18:27

another vote for fleitol. i bought some, not expecting anything better than i had already got., but after one use i can really tell the difference.

i didnt know it stained the sheets though

expatinscotland · 06/06/2008 18:35

flexitol rules.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/06/2008 18:45

Flexitol, flexitol, flexitol.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 06/06/2008 18:57

Flexitol.

Is the message getting through yet??

Buda · 06/06/2008 19:05

Flexitol

It is great. Not expensive either I think.
